Opel Corsa OPC - sports car for everyday driving

Thanks to the bright design and good driving characteristics, the Opel Corsa OPC model has long been recognized throughout the world. Its predecessor, the compact Corsa hatchback, was for some reason considered a "female" car, but experts from the Opel Perfomance Center destroyed this stereotype and turned ordinary driving into a real drive, adrenaline-flavored.

This company is engaged in the development of Opel cars. It was created by a small group of enthusiasts in 1997. OPC's headquarters are located in Russellheim. In the portfolio of the company there are already several models of Opel, turned from conventional cars into real racing supercars.

The "charged" version of the well-known sports car Opel Corsa appeared in a three-door body in 2007. The sporty design of the Corsa OPC is really impressive. The aggressive bumpers, the predatory mouth of the air intakes, the unusual triangular shape of the fog lights, the side gills on the front bumper - all these elements speak of the obstinate disposition of this "baby".

No less attractive is the lateral part of the Opel Corsa OPC. Swift and at the same time elegant lining on the thresholds, stylish rear-view mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, "dressed" in low-profile tires, all of its kind underscore the strength and power of this model.

Very harmoniously fit into the image of the Opel Corsa OPS and a rear bumper with a pair of gills on the sides and a triangular exhaust branch pipe in the center. And toned taillights and an elegant spoiler complete this delightful portrait.

The interior design of the Opel Corsa OPC car fully corresponds to its exterior appearance - the sporting feel is felt in every element. The main "chip" of the interior was the Recaro sports seats with side airbags. Excellent profile and good lateral support of the seats provide a golden mean between sportiness and comfort, and a wide range of adjustments allows you to comfortably sit behind the wheel.

The steering wheel, covered with leather, received a beveled lower sector, like the sports models Audi TT and R8. "Wheel" is very comfortable in the hands, and intercept it with fast corners - a complete pleasure. On the central console is a control unit for the route computer, audio system and climate control.

The "heart" of the Opel Corsa OPC model was the petrol 192-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Developers managed to give their child a perfect controllability, but they did not forget about comfort, understanding that the "charged" versions of civilian models have mostly to travel on ordinary city streets.

This paradise for this model is a flat road and a bunch of turns. The car perfectly clings to the asphalt, so it seems that any turn can be made without dropping speed. But the stabilization system always unobtrusively corrects the driver's actions in case of exceeding the permissible speed limit. Do not cause complaints and brakes - thanks to an informative pedal, you can clearly dose the effort.
