Svetlana Surganova was born on November 14, 1968 in Leningrad. Biological parents abandoned her at the hospital. Up to 3 years Svetlana was brought up in the house of the baby, and at the age of 3 she was adopted by Candidate of Biological Sciences - Surganova Liia Davydovna.

Soon Svetlana meets a talented musician, part-time teacher in her medical school - Peter Malakhovsky. Svetlana dissolves the old group and creates a new one, but already with Peter, which is becoming popular in St. Petersburg.

The group actively participated in various concerts, but they did not record a single studio album. The existence of it is reminiscent only of live recordings.

In 1995, Svetlana felt pain in her stomach. Since she graduated from the medical school, she understood by symptoms that she could develop oncology inside her. The fear of hearing the diagnosis made her postpone her visit to the doctor and drink a handful of painkillers.

Because of pain, Svetlana lost her appetite, she began to lose weight rapidly.

In 1997, visiting friends, she inadvertently jumped the weight, then felt a sharp pain.

Svetlana appeared on the stage 3 months after the second resuscitation, heavily emaciated - up to 42 kg. She had a strong weakness, she barely held the violin in her hands, but could play the concert to the fullest.

The group "Surganova and Orchestra" was organized as a result of the merger of Svetlana with the band "North Combo".

The girl took the role of vocalist, violin and guitar in the group.
