Mounting Mauerlate to aerated concrete or foam concrete, as a rule, is made with the help of reinforcing belt, located in the upper part of wall structures. It is he who becomes the support for the Mauerlat and provides great strength to the whole house.

What is Armopoyas for?

As is known, aerated concrete is characterized by high sensitivity to local loads. That is, if the permissible pressure of the drill used to create the holes in the block is exceeded, it is likely that it will crack or even crack. To prevent such changes, the armopause is arranged, it also avoids the sliding and deformation of the blocks, to which uneven pressure of the total weight results.

What you need to know

The functions of the Mauerlat are to connect the building box and the rafter system, as well as to separate the load from the roof structure across all walls. Wood is used mainly for making fasteners. Optimum variant is a bar from deciduous breeds, which surface is covered with antiseptic structure.

It is desirable that the mounting of the Mauerlate to the wall of aerated concrete is continuous throughout the perimeter of the wall structures. To fix the individual elements, a straight lock of a suitable size is used. To ensure rigidity, nails are driven in, as a result, the bars form a single system for mounting the rafters, connected with neighboring elements. The bars should be on the inside of the masonry, with at least 5-6 cm to the outside. For the support of the Mauerlat, a brick parapet is made along the outer edge of the wall, the individual parts of which are fastened with a straight lock.

Methods of fastening the Mauerlate to the walls of aerated concrete

It is possible to use several techniques that are suitable for different conditions:

  • Fixation with staples embedded in the masonry;
  • Anchor fastening based on armopoyas;
  • Mounting Mauerlate to aerated concrete wire.

In the latter version, the wire is laid between the bricks in such a way that the middle part is located below them, and the outer sides are outside. The length should be sufficient for free passing through the bar and subsequent tightening. The number of straps must correspond to the number of rafters. Using a metal wire, the Mauerlat is then fixed to the wall.

Reinforced Belt

Mounting the Mauerlate to the aerated concrete with armopoyas is the most preferable, since the blocks differ in the insufficiently dense structure and complexity of the mounting of fixers of any kind. It is worth noting the advantages of using a reinforced belt. First of all, this is the alignment of the upper part of the walls and the strengthening of the entire structure of the house, while fixing it in advance, fixers for the Mauerlata are created. The simplest version is the use of U-shaped block elements in the form of a gutter along the perimeter of the wall external structures, and there should be no interruptions. Next, the propyl on the corner pieces is formed. To assemble the carcass is used reinforcement with transverse webs, then it is laid in the gutter with a subsequent pouring of the concrete mixture. It is necessary to determine in advance the optimal location of the elements in order to avoid coincidence with the places of fixing the rafters.

Mounting of Mauerlate to aerated concrete using studs

This option is optimal for small buildings and roofs, having a lightweight construction, when the roof and walls do not have significant loads. Hairpins are of two types: they are bolts that form a single structure with a steel square, or elements in the form of an L-shaped. Their fixation is made during the laying of blocks in several rows to the top, while the length should be enough for the lock nut and the thickness of the bars. The process is similar to the anchor method: the bar is put on the studs when the masonry cures and is fixed with nuts. There are also other ways of fastening the Mauerlate to aerated concrete, but they are used less often because of less reliability.

Sufficient rigidity and reliability of fastening is formed due to the bolting of the bolts to the frame and their additional immersion with concrete. It is enough to put the mauerlat on the studs and use the nuts to pull it towards the blocks.

If it is necessary to mount the Mauerlate to aerated concrete without armopoyas, monolithic plugs and cushions in the walls are used. Their dimensions should be within 400 mm, they are grooves with a structure of reinforcement of small thickness or metal bars, it is on it and anchors are fixed.

Features

The use of anchors and studs requires the prior creation of holes. Here a number of difficulties can arise. For example, the fasteners may not be flat enough, even if you use a cord and a level, it is more difficult to work with liquid concrete. First of all, the exact location of the fasteners is set, on the blackboard, the points of the upper parts of the bolts are marked, later they are transferred to the Mauerlat, in which the corresponding holes are drilled. Then the beam is fixed to the wall. The base of the rafters is fixed on bolts, the washers and nuts are additionally used.

Mounting Mauerlate to aerated concrete should be carried out after selecting the method of fixing and preliminary planning the number and location of the locks. First of all, reliable insulation between concrete and wood is formed. This is necessary due to the development of intensive decay of the tree, to prevent this process, a waterproofing material is applied, laid in two layers. As it can act as modern options, and familiar, such as polyethylene or ruberoid.

When using a wire, it is enough to make a hole at a distance of no more than 35 cm for all fastenings, pass the wire, while the ends are twisted in such a way as to obtain the maximum connection of the wall and the Mauerlate.

It should be noted that the saw blades should not be used with the Bulgarian, since this tool is not suitable for wood. Failure to comply with this rule can lead to injury during operation.

Sliding pairing

Installation of the rafters is carried out after tight fixation of the Mauerlat. The rafter structure can be hinged or rigidly fixed, the choice of the appropriate option depends on the requirements that the mauerlate attachment points to aerated concrete, the general configuration and the type of construction (hanging or nasal) should correspond.

The hinged version can have different interfaces. The most common is fastening with a hard interface, and there is no possibility of displacement and rotation. It also uses sliding mating, which ensures the movement of the beam and the rotation in relation to the bar. The latter option reduces the expansion of wood caused by the temperature effect, and shrinkage of the building, all this prevents the transfer of bursting loads to the wall structures.

To create a sliding interface, three methods are used:

  • The use of a special metal fastener for connecting rafters;
  • Removing the beam from the walls and fixing it with a plate;
  • The creation of saws in the board rafters and its installation on the Mauerlate with the use of angles, staples or nails.

Rigid pairing

Without it, concrete and wooden buildings are rarely dispensed, as well as structures made of timber. In view of the fact that both frame and wood houses are markedly shrinkable, in the absence of the possibility of a simultaneous displacement of the building and roof box, there is a possibility of a significant stress causing damage to the construction of walls and rafters. To create a rigid interface you need support bars with a length of 1 meter, fixed on rafter feet, nails and steel corners. The rafter beam with a bar must rest against the structure of the Mauerlat in accordance with the pressure line. This prevents perpendicular displacements. Corners and nails eliminate lateral displacement, while the latter must be driven at an angle from both sides, so that they intersect in the bar. A third nail is driven through the beam, which should have a vertical direction.

Conclusion

Mounting the Mauerlate to the aerated concrete has its own characteristics, which must be taken into account in the arrangement, so that it is possible to prevent problems with the roofing. In the absence of experience and relevant knowledge for the creation of a project and the subsequent installation of the rafters system, it is desirable to turn to professionals who guarantee the receipt of a reliable roof, which for many years will protect the house from cold and precipitation. When building, do not save at this stage of work, as this can cause additional financial investment and time costs.
