Modern Russian Language: The Impact of Foreign Words And Misunderstanding Between Generations

There are two ways of life: development or degradation. The Russian language, one of the richest and most harmonious languages, also does not stand still. It is replenished with new words, various techniques that make it even more expressive. One of the methods of developing the language is the borrowing of foreign words. Often the borrowing of these words occurs in the course of rapprochement of cultures, development of mutual relations. Some of them are so ingrained in our minds as primordial-Russian, that it is difficult for our generation and our parents to imagine their lives without them. So recently a friend of mine asked me: "Do not you know how the party will be in English?" Someone will find it funny, but someone will seriously think about this issue.

Over the past thirty years, so many new technologies have appeared in our lives! And all these innovations require new definitions, terms for a more accurate description of their essence. But where does all this lead to? To the development of society? Or to increase misunderstandings between generations?

Now even a child can use a computer. This inevitably entails replenishment of his vocabulary with technical terms that often turn into jargon. But, nevertheless, attentive and modern parents are still able to understand their children's stories, if they start telling them about various forums and chats, they can help them if they do not fully understand the functions of a particular program and can simply talk to them on One language. As for grandparents who are not very well versed in the intricacies of the new technical industry, as well as professions with new big names, they can only nod in response to their stories full of new words and concepts. This state of affairs is not very good for the relations of people of different generations. And now, what has been revealed, a recent survey among people of different ages.
First, the future of the younger generation causes associations with foreign words (associated with new technologies, inventions, etc.), but not all young people understand the significance,
Words they use. The older generation (31-40 years old) prefers
Use mostly Russian words and with new modern words they do not have any associations. People aged 21 to 30 take an average position on the use of foreign words, but as for understanding these words, they are in the lead. This is due to the fact that people engaged in any activity other than physical, inevitably have to adapt to information technology and replenish their stories with borrowed words.

Often people use new words to raise their social status in the eyes of others. A speech full of beautiful new words makes listeners
To think: "I, probably, so have lagged behind a life that any more I do not understand half from
All that has been said. " In fact, as we have already seen, in our modern age
Not everyone is accustomed to a new lexicon. You can clog your speech with a thousand
Such words, but this does not change the meaning. Its just going to be harder
discern.

Do not be afraid to ask if some word seems unfamiliar or incomprehensible to you. After all, it is not shameful not to know, it's shameful not to seek to know. And since in our life there is a lot, if not too many, new words you will not expose yourself in a disadvantageous light. Not at all. Sometimes a laconic and concise speech is perceived better and produces a greater impression than a long, unfolded tirade, which does not carry a special semantic load. To be able to make information accessible and interesting is the true indicator of a person who really speaks Russian.
