How to breathe properly during childbirth?

How to breathe properly during childbirth? This question worries most of today's women, waiting for the birth of a long-awaited baby. The best training for this technique is carried out by experienced staff of future parents' schools. They will tell you and show you how to breathe correctly during childbirth, which will greatly facilitate this process and strengthen the general condition of the body. Any anesthetic has a negative effect on the fetus, having learned a special breathing technique, you can avoid it altogether or minimize the use of medication.

Each stage of labor, beginning with fights and ending with the expulsion of the fetus, must be accompanied by a certain kind of breathing.

With frequent and feeble bouts, which bring minor discomfort, you should gently inhale air through the nose and gently exhale it through the mouth. In periods of tranquility, you can do this in the usual way.

As the contractions intensify, breaths should become more profound. In this case, you need to try to relax as much as possible the crotch, waist and abdomen.

If nasal breathing is difficult (in the case of swelling of the mucous membrane or a runny nose) you can apply the technique "dog-like". It consists in frequent, intensive "swallowing" of air, and the tip of the tongue should be located behind the teeth near the upper alveoli.

Some women find it easier to sing some vowel sounds during the bout ("s", "and", "e", "y", "a", etc.), or pull the consonant "m" (in this case, the sound It should be pointed upwards so that an easy vibration in the nose is felt, as it helps to relax and distract from painful sensations).

A future mother should know not only how to breathe correctly during childbirth, but also what position of the body to choose in order to maximize focus and ease their condition. There are several possible options:

- Spread your legs apart, resting on the table, bed, window sill, etc .;

- To kneel, leaning on elbows;

- it is permissible to sit squatting against the wall;

- swing your hips from side to side in a standing position (the so-called "generic dance"). This will help relax your lower back.

The next stage are attempts. They resemble the desire to "go to the big" to go to the toilet. At this moment, it is necessary to use diaphragmatic (abdominal) breathing. This is recommended for four accounts. At 1,2,3 - we perform the technique "dog-like", for 4 - we make a strong deep exhalation (as if trying to extinguish the flame).

If you learn to breathe in advance, you can control your desire to strain until the cervix is fully open.

When the doctor finally lets go, you need to do the following: take a gentle breath while trying, then hold your breath, lower your chin down and strain, simulating the act of defecation. If you know how to breathe correctly during childbirth, in the period of one fight you can make even a few attempts. In this case, you can give birth to a baby for two or three attempts.

It is very important to listen carefully to the midwife. When the baby's head appears, you will be asked not to push. In order to distract, it is necessary to start breathing again "dog-like". By following these recommendations, painful ruptures can be avoided.

The last stage is the birth of the placenta (the so-called "child's place"). To accelerate this process and to reduce pain, it is recommended to cough lightly.

Knowing how to breathe during childbirth, you can facilitate the process of the appearance of the baby in the light. The main thing is not to let yourself scream, even if it's very painful, because at such times a child does not receive oxygen. Think about your baby, because in this period it is much more difficult for him than for you.
