The smallest mother in the world lives in the US state of Kentucky. Her name is Stacey Herald. The woman has long been over 30, and her height is only 71 centimeters. However, the external difference from others did not prevent Stacy from becoming a happy wife and mother of three children.
How it all began
Since childhood, Stacy suffered a rare disease. At an early age, her lungs stopped developing, and the bones were so fragile that they practically did not grow. Because of this, she was considered inferior and prophesied a life full of misfortunes and all kinds of deprivations. However, in spite of everything, there was a man who fell in love with her.
Happy marriage
The smallest mother in the world married her colleague in 2004. Wil's husband is also not very big. It is 160 centimeters. Spouses support each other in everything. Stacy moves around in a wheelchair, and she often needs help.
Children
To date, the couple has three children: two girls and one boy. It is not yet known whether they will stop there. Doctors extremely do not recommend having children. But, according to Stacy, when she became pregnant for the first time, she was also predicted the most sad outcome. Nevertheless, the child's pregnancy and childbirth went quite successfully. The feat of a miniature woman
According to statistics, women with a similar disease give birth very rarely. Success ends with approximately one birth of 25 000. Apparently, the smallest mother in the world decided to refute this data. Soon after the birth of his second daughter a boy appeared. Doctors seriously feared for the life of a woman. Therefore, she was cesarean section at the 28th week of pregnancy. Baby was born very weak. He inherited from her mother her illness. Soon after childbirth, the boy fell ill and was placed under the supervision of doctors. He developed a hernia, in connection with which an urgent operation was performed. Because of the hereditary disease, the baby nearly died. Doctors created a real miracle, thanks to which he remained alive. The boy has abnormally short arms and legs. Because of the fragility of bones, he requires extremely careful treatment. As will be his future destiny, time will tell.
Future plans
The smallest mom in the world (her family's photo you see in this article) is planning her future life. Spouses say they are ready to take a chance and give birth to the fourth child. They are not stopped by the convincing arguments of doctors about the possible danger to life and health of both mother and her children.
Many condemn this position. It is considered unethical to give birth to children, knowing that they will be transmitted genetic disease of their parents. This view is shared by many scientists. However, the decision can only be made by the parents themselves.
