Recipes of rice cakes

1. Honey rice cakes.

Ingredients: 200 grams of rice, 2-3 tbsp. Spoons of sesame seeds, 3 tbsp. Tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 tbsp. Spoon dessert wine and sugar, 2 tbsp. Spoons of honey and orange juice, ground cinnamon and orange peel.

Rice thoroughly rinse, boil, pour into a colander and cool, then add sugar, juice, orange peel and cinnamon. All the mix well, form flat cakes and, wrapping them in sesame seeds, fry in oil until golden yellow. If boiled rice turned out too loose, you need to add whipped egg whites. Finished rice cakes put on a dish and pour warmed with a mixture of honey and wine.

2. Yeast rice cakes.

Ingredients: 250 grams of long rice, 1 tbsp. A spoonful of powdered yeast, 50 ml. Warm water, 5 eggs, 100 grams of sugar, 30 grams of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of salt, 100 grams of flour, fat.

Rice boil until soft, dry, mix. Add the yeast diluted in warm water to the rice and let it brew for two hours. Eggs beat up with salt, sugar, flour and nutmeg, add the mixture to the rice and mix. Set aside for 30 minutes. After that, heat the fat in a frying pan and, spreading out the resulting "dough" with a spoon, fry the flat cakes from two sides to a golden brown color.

3. Japanese rice cakes "mochi". For their preparation, you will need 500 grams of rice "moti-gome".

Rinse the rice and leave it overnight in water. In the morning boil rice in the steamer until soft. Another hot rice put in a damp wooden mortar and knead it to a homogenous mushy adhesive material. The resulting dough is put on the surface, sprinkled with rice flour, and form slightly flattened balls. After that, you need to put it in the fridge for a while. Japanese rice cakes "moti" are seasoned with soy or any other sauce to taste and are served to the table.
