The recipe assumes the use of the following products: 250 ml of water, 100 g of flour, 50 g of butter, 2 tbsp. L. Sugar, 1 tsp. Salt, 2 cups vegetable oil for frying, 1 egg yolk, 2 whole eggs, powdered sugar. Preheat the water in a saucepan, add butter there. When it melts, sift flour there, pour in salt, sugar, remove from heat and mix the dough. Add yolk and eggs, carefully knead. Preheat the vegetable oil in a sauté pan or deep frying pan. Gently douse the dough into a tablespoon and fry until golden. You can give the puffins any shape, from the standard ringlet to the mouth-watering balls. Ready pyshki shift on a paper towel and wait for the cooling, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve to the table.

Scottish cakes in the oven

The recipe for this dessert is slightly different from the classic. Firstly, the Scottish recipe for buns suggests baking in the oven, and secondly, they will have a filling of fruit jam or jelly. You will need 250 g of flour, a bag of baking powder, salt, 3 tbsp. L. Butter, 50 g of sugar, 200 ml of milk, vegetable oil, butter, fruit jam. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees, as recommended by the recipe. The pyshki mix in a deep bowl, sifting there flour with salt and baking powder and mixing with butter. Adding sugar and milk, you will get a soft dough, which you need to roll up to a thickness of two centimeters, after which you can cut the circles. Lubricate the baking sheet with vegetable oil, spread mugs of dough on it and bake for about a quarter of an hour. When the donuts cool down, cut them in half - it's the stuffing that distinguishes this recipe. You need to smear the dyes with butter and fruit jam, after which you should combine the two halves and decorate the top with whipped cream. If you do not have an oven, you can still cook this dessert. Do the same as in the case of classic puffs. Just find a wide and deep cast-iron frying pan, fill it with oil and gently fry your donuts in it until a crust of golden hue appears. Put the products on a napkin or paper towel and allow to drain off the fat, then cut and repeat the above recipe. Pyshki will be a little more caloric due to vegetable oil for frying, but they will taste great. Bon Appetit!
