Tourists prefer HB food

On previous trips abroad, my husband and I chose a "buffet" for the reason that in this system we were all familiar, and it was possible to avoid unpleasant incidents after using some unusual exotic food.

But who does not want diversity? And this year we decided instead of Bulgaria to go to Italy, and instead of the "buffet" our choice fell on the HB food.

When I first saw the abbreviation HB, I could not understand its meaning. Under the decryption of Bed & Breakfast, it did not fit. It turned out that the hotel HB power supply   Is a usual two meals a day in the form of breakfast and dinner. Like any other abbreviation, this term is deciphered. The English version sounds like "Half board" (halfboard).

So, we stayed at the Naples Beach Hotel. Either because it was our first trip to Naples, or because of the fact that in April the beach was not crowded, and the weather was just wonderful, but we liked everything from our room on the 9th floor. The view of the bay from here was magnificent. Every evening people gathered there to behold the delightful Neapolitan sunset. Plus, light silvery sand, velvety, not too sunny April sun ...

But since my goal was to share the gastronomic impressions, I will return to the hotel catering. So let me be forgiven for mercantilism. Briefly describe the menu. At the first dinner we tasted toasted shrimps, which was not new. But their combination with a delicious coconut sauce with a taste of tequila and lime gave the dish a special flavor.

The menu, which implies HB power, is very diverse. Moreover: if you liked some special dish, you can order it by phone and reserve. My husband liked the chicken "Bruschetta": chopped chicken breast with salsa from tomato on thin slices of crackers. In general, it is the herbs, fine seasonings that give Italian dishes a special refinement.

The breakfast was not as varied as the lunch menu. I liked prawns with peppers, cooked on the grill. But especially surprised by the crown dish from the chef - crab cake, consisting of different types of seafood. To the credit of the restaurant, it should be noted that fish dishes are prepared not from imported fish, but exclusively from the one that is here on the coast. Fresh meat products are delivered from nearby farms.

Special theme: wine. The choice is abundant. If you order two any main dishes, then you are offered wine "complimentari", that is, for free. This is usually Chardonnay, Sauvignon and other dry wines.

So if you are going on a trip and do not know whether to choose an all-inclusive service, Bed & Breakfast or HB food, my advice: choose the latter option.

Although, of course, everyone has the right to personal preferences
