The Ural Academy of Law (Ekaterinburg)

The Ural Law Academy (University) today implements programs of secondary vocational education, higher professional education, postgraduate education (doctoral studies, postgraduate study) and additional education in accordance with a license that allows for the conduct of educational activities. Among many high schools of legal orientation the Ural University (academy) enjoys deserved authority.

Structure

The Ural Academy, whose legal orientation of teaching is already implied in the title, does not go beyond the field of jurisprudence in the preparation of students. There are several institutions in its structure that also study aspects of domestic and foreign law. The Ural Academy is a legal one from the beginning to the end.

The institutions that are part of its structure are: the Institute of Justice, the Institute of Entrepreneurial Law, the Institute of the Prosecutor's Office of the Ural State Law Academy. In addition, there are two more subdivisions in the UrGuYU structure: the Institute of International and State Law, the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel.

The students, which the Ural Academy is preparing, is the legal protection of the future society of our country. The training takes place at the faculties: preparation of bachelors of law, master's preparation, evening faculty, SOP (reduced educational programs), regional-correspondence, pre-university training, additional education, training and professional development for the judiciary, doctoral and postgraduate courses.

Institutes

All the institutes are functioning successfully, they are engaged in scientific research in the field of jurisprudence. The Institute of the Prosecutor's Office of the Ural State Law Academy regularly conducts selection of candidates for entrants, and this is not easy: there is a lot of knowledge required besides excellent health. The passing score is traditionally very high. But the lack of people wishing to obtain a legal education here, the institute of the Prosecutor's Office of the Ural State Academy of Law never felt.

Its goal is to train qualified personnel for prosecutors of the Far East, Siberia and the Urals, and it fulfills its obligations as required by the state educational standard. In this institute of budget places almost three times more than paid ones, nevertheless the competition is very large. This has always been different and is now different in the whole Ural Law Academy, the institution of the Prosecutor's Office is no different in this respect from other units. An attorney at the Institute of Justice, for example, is no less difficult to become.

History

The whole story began with the academy, not even in the Urals, but in a very remote Siberian city of Irkutsk in 1931 with the Siberian Institute of Soviet Law organized there. The Ural Academy - the legal body - was still very far from its birth. The first set of the Irkutsk Institute was small - only 56 students, but there were many teachers - fifteen people. In 1934 the institute moved to Sverdlovsk and changed its name to the Sverdlovsk Law Institute. Even then, lawyers and scientists with world names worked there. Since 2014, the Ural State Law Academy (Ekaterinburg) has come to be called the Ural State Law University.

Activities

For all the years of existence of SSI UrGUA prepared more than sixty thousand specialists of the highest class, who made a tangible contribution to the state and legal construction, contributed in every way to the best work of the judicial authorities and the entire judicial system. Advocacy and notaries, as well as banking, investment, insurance activities, developed, the Ural Academy in every way contributed. The legal training received at the academy allowed graduates of this university to occupy very responsible state posts. Also, the Academy has many awards.

The Ural Law Academy gave a chance to many remarkable people. Awards

Year after year the awards found their heroes. Considering the life of the Academy only from 2004, there was not one without a reward. The Ural State Academy of Law won the medal of the laureate in the nomination "One hundred of the best universities in Russia". The European quality of education was confirmed the following year by Professor VD Perevalov, Rector of the Academy, when he became a laureate of the International Program "Leaders of the twenty-first century".

Following, in 2006, a gold medal from the French Association, which promotes industry. Even the food industry recognized the UrGuA combine engaged in canteens and buffets, the best, and the academy received another award - the "Golden Crane", a national prize. The corporate newspaper "Jurist" got the second place at the Interuniversity festival of periodicals, and here students and teachers of the academy showed their creative talents, and the Ural Law Academy increased its fame.

University Sports

In a rare institution of higher education, sports are given as much attention as in the Ural Law University, which, according to the old habit, still sounds like the Ural State Law Academy. The Urals State Administration of the City of Yekaterinburg is most remembered by the competitions repeatedly won by the students of this university. Here, sports-mass events are held extremely often, since there are practically all kinds of sports in honor. Spartakiads, Cups of institutes for football, basketball, volleyball and many other kinds are held. The Ural State Law Academy takes part in sports events of various levels, and very often this participation is accompanied by medals of different merits.

Constantly engaged in groups of judo, sambo, boxing, armsport, freestyle wrestling, aerobics, cross-country skiing, even impossible to list everything. Special thanks to university coaches, they can be proud of, because the victories that their pupils bring to the university, including at the world championships, are also difficult to count. They do not even work for victories, they have high pedagogy and a purely human attitude to all students, even those who will not win victories due to various circumstances. The Ural State Law Academy always finds students who can be entrusted with their sporting honor.

International activity

Academic mobility of the academy is facilitated by international ties, which are very dear here. There are many scientific projects that are being investigated together with a number of the best universities in Europe, the CIS and the USA. Seminars and summer schools, where they study French, German, European law, have become a tradition. PhD theses in two languages are often defended, student and teaching internships are conducted abroad. Also, traditional lectures by university professors at foreign universities and reciprocal visits of foreign professors to the Ural University are traditional.

The basis for the Eurasian Law Congress since 2007 was the Ural Law Academy. Ekaterinburg willingly accepts scientists - theorists and practitioners, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies and authorities, specialists from many areas of jurisprudence, representatives of public organizations and other universities, not only Russian, but also foreign ones.

New frontiers

In the ratings held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Academy has always occupied places in the upper lines. The rating of universities "Education of the state elite" in 2006 and many other ratings is also always in the forefront. Teachers, professors and graduate students participate in regional, all-Russian and international seminars and conferences, scientific and methodological events are traditional here, so many leading and foreign universities take part in them. In 2014, the rating of the "Expert RA" agency introduced the UrGuU into the list of the best universities in the CIS and assigned to it the "E" rating class.

Every year in April, the University hosts Science Days, where federal and regional government bodies, representatives of Russian and foreign universities and organizations take part in the scientific and practical conference. In parallel, the Days of Student Science are held, as well as the All-Russian Student Scientific and Practical Conference on the Evolution of Russian Law.

The University has for several years already been the base for such an event as the All-Russian Open Competition for Student Scientific Work in Law, which is conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science. Students and graduate students of the university were repeatedly encouraged by scholarships of the President, the Government of the Russian Federation, the governor of the region, the academic council of the Urals State University. Repeatedly, students were financially marked by various funds as winners of competitions and contests.

Library and leisure

The scientific library grew simultaneously with the university and for seventy-five years it became the largest book depository of legal literature - there are more than a million copies of various publications, including the literature fund in Russian, where there are books of the eighteenth century, and a foreign fund with many prominent representatives of jurisprudence Western countries.

Funds of journal and fiction are also extensive. A special attitude to the collection of priceless rare books and manuscripts from the beginning of the seventeenth century, including political and legal works in Latin, their skin and parchment breathe so old that they are taken in hands with indubitable reverence.

Students of the university have many wonderful opportunities to spend their leisure time freely. They are engaged in vocal, folklore, choreography, write poetry and play musical instruments. The university and the theatrical activity of its students are also famous. Academic choir, restored in the walls of the university ten years ago, was once known throughout the country. The choir participants hope to return the former glory to the university in this field. All the creative teams of the University are permanent participants of intercollegiate festivals and competitions. Many of them are laureates and diplomats.
