Of the seven universities EMERCOM of Russia, the Institute in Yekaterinburg is the only professional institution of the Ministry, located in the Asian part of the country. History of existence

The history of the Ural Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (Yekaterinburg) begins in 1928. Then in the Sverdlovsk region the first regional courses of fire-technical skill were organized. After many years of reorganization, in 2004, the branch was renamed the Urals Institute of the State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia (Yekaterinburg).

Directions of training

Here personnel training of qualified personnel for the state leadership positions in the security service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is conducted. On the basis of complete secondary education, students are trained in the following specialties:

• Fire safety; Training in the full-time department lasts 5 years, on correspondence - 6 years.

Conditions of education

It is quite prestigious to study at the Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Yekaterinburg, but it is not entirely easy, because such a structure presupposes strict discipline, a high level of physical and psychological training.

In the militarized structure of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are girl cadets aged from 17 to 25 years. Applicants, whose age range from 26 to 40 years, have the right to study only at the correspondence department and are required to have one or several higher educations.

Entrance tests

The basic form of entrance examinations in high school is the Unified State Exam. The passing score here is quite high and at the same time depends on the chosen faculty; It is determined directly during the introductory campaign. The main subjects, such as mathematics and the Russian language, are given in the form of an interview; Standards for physical training are also submitted. The level of the last test is assessed differently for men and women, but the exercises performed are the same for all:

• Running 1 km;
• long jump;
• Pull-up and / or push-up;
• Running for a short distance.

It is also necessary to be ready to undergo psychological testing to determine the suitability of the candidate for the specialty chosen by him and to determine the stability of the psyche. Within a few hours, professional psychologists will evaluate the thinking, attention, memory, intellectual development of the future cadet. If this test suddenly turns out to be beyond the power, the entrant is not allowed to further pass the tests.

It is worth remembering that the requirements for the state of physical and mental health, given to cadets of military educational institutions, are prescribed in the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

There is a preferential option to enter the Institute of Emergencies Ministry of Ekaterinburg: winners of subject Olympiads and prize-winners of sports competitions, as a rule, are enrolled for training outside the competition.

In case of unsatisfactory passage of the introductory campaign, the entrant has the right to file an appeal. In this case, a special commission is convened, which deals with the applications of applicants for retake of tests.

In 1969 a museum was opened on the territory of the university, where students, students, cadets and honored guests come to this day and multiply the glorious traditions of the Urals.

Educational work with cadets is a complex of activities that include both cultural leisure and sports activities.

So, on June 1, 2017, cadets of the faculty "fire safety" made a traditional march-throw for 14 km, during which standards were worked out for civil defense and first aid. And the next day on the stage of the cultural center was the solemn opening ceremony of the tournament "Human Factor" for first aid. The leader of these competitions was the team "Vita", completely consisting of girls-cadets.

On the same day, on June 2, the state exam was taken at the cadets-graduates of the fire safety faculty.

In 2017, the 81st graduation of cadets will take place - 204 graduates in both specialties, 28 of which will receive diplomas with distinction, and 8 of them will be awarded with gold medals of the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Russia "For special success in teaching". All graduates will be given positions in the divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
