Sensorics - what is it? Didactic games in sensorics

For sure, many people had to hear at least something about such a concept as "Sensorika." What is it, however, not everyone can explain. Even less is the number of those who are fully aware of the huge role that it plays in the life of every person, and especially the child. Mums and dads, who very responsibly approach the problem of education, should know that it is sensory development that is one of the main components of the harmonious and full development of the child's personality.

Sensorics - what is it?

Every loving parent is insanely happy when his precious child achieves a small, but still a success. Everything is important, absolutely everything: the first awkward step, the long-awaited first word, the ineptly decorated picture. Any achievement is the result of great efforts of the baby. However, do you know that the ability of babies depends largely on how well developed its sensorics. Everyone knows what it is, but only a few understand its meaning. The term "sensorics" comes from the Latin word "sensus", which translates as a feeling or sensation. In simple words, it can be said that this is a certain sensor of perception by a person of the world around him. The basis for the formation of this perception is the synthesis of various sensations of the individual. It is about knowing the reality with the help of hearing, sight, smell, tactile contact , etc.

The sensory system of an individual

It is not enough just to learn by heart the definition of the concept "sensorics". What is it, it is better to ask a specialist who in the smallest detail will be able to give answers if not to all, then to most of the questions that interest you. Any pros will start their monologue with an explanation of what the individual's sensory system is. Without abusing scientific terms, he will note that the following subsystems form the human sensory system:

  • Visual - a subsystem through which a person is able to distinguish objects of the surrounding world, depending on their color, shape, size, direction of motion;
  • Vestibular - a subsystem responsible for a person's ability to maintain equilibrium and navigate in space;
  • Auditory is a subsystem, in the absence of which people would never learn to talk, and speech, as is known, is one of the basic means of interpersonal communication;
  • Proprioceptive - a subsystem through which a person is able to control his body movements;
  • Tactile - subsystem of skin sensitivity, which includes tactile, tactile, temperature, as well as vibration sensations.

What is sensory education?

A newborn can be compared to a white blank sheet of paper. From the first days of life, the kid needs parental care and help, because he is surrounded by a completely unexplored, but such a wonderful and interesting world. Babies absorb information like a sponge, but if they learn it intuitively, without the participation of adults, then the knowledge they get is often superficial. The kind of person a child will become in the future depends largely on his education, including sensory education. It promotes the ordering of children's ideas about the world around them, the development of their attention and observation, the formation of their communication skills and self-service, instilling a sense of respect and love for their neighbor. Thus, it can be summarized that sensory education is nothing more than the process of gradual and gradual introduction of the child to sensory culture.

The need for sensory education of children

Since sensory development is an integral part of preschool education, its value in the formation of the child's intellectual abilities must not be underestimated in any case. The role of sensory education is that it:

  • Promotes the development of the child's intelligence;
  • Helps the kid to systematize the knowledge that he receives from the external environment;
  • Prepares children for the perception of the world as it is;
  • Has a positive effect on the formation of aesthetic sense;
  • Develops imagination, observation and attentiveness;
  • Prepares children for future educational activities;
  • Favorably affects the enrichment of the vocabulary of boys and girls;
  • Develops various types of memory (visual, imaginative, auditory, motor).

How to develop sensory perception of the baby?

The knowledge that the kid received once, it is necessary to reinforce throughout the period preceding the school. This is explained by the fact that the colors of the rainbow, various geometric figures , etc., learned by the child. Without periodic repetition are forgotten. Sometimes it happens that a preschool child of five (the older group) sensorics, or rather its development, remains at the level of a two-year-old baby. He is not able to distinguish the signs of objects, confuses colors, can not concentrate on the task assigned to him. In order not to face such a problem, one should regularly engage with the child, constantly voicing the names of the objects that surround him on the street and in the room, and also paying attention to his clothes. Best boys and girls learn the information obtained in the game form. Therefore, it would be ideal to turn an ordinary daily walk into an exciting and informative journey, thought out in advance by a caring parent.

How correctly to organize employment with kids?

Usually, kiddies who regularly visit the preschool are pretty well developed sensorics. The younger group of the kindergarten, middle or senior, does not make any difference, since the graduates are constantly engaged with the children. But what about parents who prefer to bring their children home? How not to harm the child, but, on the contrary, to promote the development of his abilities? The rule remains the same - classes on sensorics should take place in a game form. For example, visual perception is well taught by mosaics. However, remember that children under the age of three should be encouraged to collect different figures using only basic colors. Pre-schoolers can also cope with a more difficult task - to collect from the mosaic figurines, which will be present not only a few basic colors, but their shades.

Do not interfere, but, on the contrary, encourage noisy games of the child. This contributes to the development of his auditory perception. Do not interfere with the desire of your neposeda to arrange concerts or theatrical performances. Who knows, maybe in the future there will be a big stage?

Buy toys of different shapes, sizes and colors. They should differ in the texture. Thus, the tactile sensations of the unintelligent will develop. You can independently make pouches and fill them with various cereals. Feeling them, the baby will develop a small motor skills.

Several rules regarding the organization of work with children

Teaching children something, you should always remember that the psyche of the baby is not yet formed, and it does not perceive information as an adult. Therefore games on sensorics, like any other activity, must be carefully thought through. To avoid mistakes that will subsequently manifest themselves, parents need to remember a few simple rules:

  1. During the game, you need to keep calm, do not raise your voice, do not insult the child, if something goes wrong. Children tend to imitate adults, so the parent's incontinence and aggressiveness will almost certainly become a feature of his beloved child's future character.
  2. The adult should find an approach to the child and establish emotional contact with him.
  3. At each lesson, you need to combine learning with the game.
  4. To the kid remember the material well, it needs to be repeated many times.
  5. The complexity of the material should correspond to the level of intellectual development of the preschool child.
  6. The ideal duration of one lesson is 15-20 minutes.

Didactic game for kids "Adorn the Butterfly"

Didactic games on sensorics are different and like all children. For example, one of them is very interesting, which is called "Decorate the Butterfly". Its main goal is to teach future first-graders to group different objects depending on their color, and also to consolidate the knowledge of preschool children about such a geometric figure as a ball, about the concepts "one" and "many". Prepare to prepare cardboard butterflies and circles of different sizes and colors. The course of the game is as follows:

  1. Boys and girls are shown butterflies, saying at the same time that they came to stay and ask for a favor. The fact is that insects were given circles of different colors, which can decorate their wings. However, without outside help they can not cope with this task.
  2. The adult offers the guys to help butterflies and fulfill their insignificant request.
  3. At first, children are told that they need to choose circles of the same color. After they do this, it remains to give them the silhouettes of butterflies whose wings need to be adorned.

At the end of the game, it's important to praise the kids for their diligence and their responsiveness.
