The bottom does not have sharp drops and troughs. The upper silt layer has the smell of hydrogen sulphide, the color is black. The steppe grass grows along the shore, but on the east coast there is a pine forest (artificially planted in the 19th century). During the warm season a lot of tourists come here.

In the forest is a sanatorium, which helps to heal with the help of healing mud. Therefore, those who suffer from cardiac, musculoskeletal and nervous diseases, have inflammatory processes, problems with the gastrointestinal tract and other organs, come to maintain health. A list of diseases that can be affected by dirt can be obtained from employees of the Sosnovaya Roshcha sanatorium.

Lake Medvezhye

Lake Medvezhye (Kurgan region) is also famous for its healing mud. But its difference from other reservoirs is also very salty water. It feeds on melt water.

This large lake, if you look at the area, it takes more than 61 km 2 . But it is small. On average, its depth is 70 cm. Closer to the center, the lake deepens to 120 cm. Lake Medvezhye (Kurgan region) is popular among tourists with children, since it is very difficult to drown here, because besides the pond is shallow, there is very salt water in it Literally pushes the person out. The composition of the water of the reservoir makes it unfit for fish, living creatures and vegetation.

On the lake there is a sanatorium, intended for the treatment of joints, muscles and nervous system by mud. In winter, the reservoir is practically not covered by ice due to the high concentration of salt. Although it is worth noting that salinity can vary.

Reviews of the rest on the lake

Those who wish to heal and just relax, go to the Bear Lake in the summer (Kurgan region). Reviews of these people show that the terrain really has to improve and raise the tone. It should be noted that in the resort period there are a lot of tourists, although the place for a tent can always be found. But it is better to take fresh water with you in reserve.

If you want, you can settle in a nearby village. In such villages there are shops, and on the recreation center there is a cafeteria. Many travelers note that it is not enough to go here for two days. The terrain and landscapes are very beautiful, the mud helps to heal, but the soul rests, so you come home fresh and cheerful.
