Interesting attractions Partenit

Partenit is a popular holiday destination. It is conveniently located directly along the coastline, so in order to swim, you do not need to climb mountains, as in some other resorts of the Crimea. In the beach season, it is filled to the brim with holidaymakers. Someone is attracted by a fine pebble beach and picturesque surroundings, while others are looking for lower prices than in Yalta or Alushta. Those who like a less noisy vacation, but in close proximity to big cities, also choose Partenit. Attractions and entertainment here can be found for every taste. Rest here is not exactly limited to banal trips to the beach.

So which of Partenit's attractions will give you the opportunity to walk along the Yalta embankment? They are not small for such a small village.

Ayudagh

This mountain, resembling a bear, which buried its face in the sea surface, is known far beyond the borders of the Crimea. Its intricate shape can be admired from any Partenit beach, but it is not necessary to be content only with this. The height of the mountain - 577 meters - allows you to climb to its peak to almost everyone, even a child. Above you see a wonderful view of the whole coast. The mountain is covered with lush vegetation, in particular, such unusual pistachios and strawberry trees are grown there.

It is interesting that Ayudag is an unfulfilled volcano. It is valuable with its minerals. The mountain consists of gabbro-diabase - magmatic rock, which is often used as a cladding. It was this mineral that treated the stands on Red Square. If you look carefully at your feet, climbing a mountain path, you can find a pyrite - a pebble, at first glance similar to gold. In fact, it consists of sulfur and iron. The ancient Incas made mirrors out of it.

Partenit, Crimea (sights): Turquoise lake

Yes, this is the color of water in it. The lake is at an altitude of 610 meters and feeds on underground springs. You can easily climb or walk on an off-road car. For those wishing to spend the night near the water surface there is a paid tourist parking.

Partenit (sights): "Karasan"

This palace is one of the first in the list of places must-visit. Now here is the eponymous sanatorium, and earlier it was the estate of Raevsky. The main building is built in Moorish style. Rich stucco molding, openwork carving, rich ornamental pattern, spacious terraces and attics, small domes on the roof brighten the massive construction and make it light and airy.

Gagarin's Palace

Sometimes it seems that rest in a small village does not promise special oohs and ahov from contact with the beautiful. Nevertheless, such attractions Partenit, as the estate of Princess Gagarina, destroy this stereotype.

It is a symbol of love and loyalty. A compact palace in the Romanesque style was built in 1907 by the widowed Anastasia Davidovna for her early deceased spouse. The project was designed by architect N. Krasnov. With its turrets with battlements and narrow window-loopholes it looks like a medieval castle. The color scheme of the facade resembles the Massandra Palace: terracotta roof tiles and ivy-covered walls of a warm yellow shade with a stone facing look very organic. Here there is an atmosphere of mild sadness, which is set by a monument of a sad young princess with a rose in her hands.

Stone Museum

There are such unique attractions Partenit, which are not equal throughout the world. An example is this museum. Local resident Alexander Kulish gathered a truly unique exposition from more than 4 thousand exhibits. From all corners of the world - from the Caucasus, the Urals, and America - he brings fossils and gems, ordinary and not quite. Some of them seem completely unattractive. But in his studio Alexander gets to the core of the stone, and then the gaze opens to the wonderful paintings painted millions of years ago without any human participation. A fantasy helps to see in these abstracts, even some subjects (for example, Peter the Great, admiring the ship, a herd of mammoths or sunset). The owner of the museum has learned to find the soul of the stone and extract it from the heavy-duty shell. Not to visit this museum is to deprive yourself of ecstasy from the beauty of nature.

What else to see

Other attractions Partenit is an olive grove 200 years ago in the park of the sanatorium "Aivazovsky", the well-groomed garden complex "Paradise", light-music fountain "Prometheus", small but deep mountain pond Ay-Efim, capes Plaka and Teddy Bear. Hardly enough for a week to visit all the interesting places.

Therefore, many will want to return to Partenit next year. Sights, photos of which will long remind of unforgettable days spent in this Crimean village, will cause pleasant nostalgia.
