Diarrhea. Causes, signs, treatment.

Diarrhea is a disease that can overtake anyone, regardless of age, gender and social status. This disease, called diarrhea in the common people, is a digestive disorder, unpleasant sensations in the abdomen, frequent bowel movement. Diarrhea, the causes of which can be determined most accurately only by a specialist, is a protective reaction of the body to various viruses, allergens and toxins.

Why can such an unpleasant state arise?

· As a result of drinking unboiled water contaminated with pathogens.

· As a consequence of an allergic reaction to one or more foods or medications.

· Due to food intolerance (most common in infants).

· Because of an infection in the intestines (intestinal flu).

· Due to stress and deep emotional shocks.

The patient can be diagnosed with "chronic diarrhea" if stomach upset occurs for three or more weeks, and the stool volume exceeds 300 milliliters per day. Such a disorder may be due to Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, rectal cancer, or impaired absorption.

Chronic diarrhea, the causes of which are much more dangerous for human health, must be treated in appropriate medical institutions.

The main signs of diarrhea:

· Increased body temperature.

· Feeling of cramping in the abdomen and drawing pain (for several hours).

· Vomiting.

As already noted, the cause of diarrhea is a digestive disorder, characterized by accelerated movement of food, insufficient digestion and, as a result, the presence of excess water in the intestine. Anxiety brings a frequent, fluid, watery, uneven stool. Most often this unpleasant phenomenon occurs in the summer, when the consumption of water (not always cleaned from bacteria and viruses) increases and the shelf life of products decreases (the risk of consumption of poor-quality food increases). Another misfortune is the flies, actively carrying pathogenic microorganisms.

Diarrhea, the causes of which are foci of infection in the intestines, are always accompanied by vomiting. In this case, it is necessary not to postpone the visit to the doctor to prevent the spread of the infection throughout the body. With this symptom, as a rule, the following tests are prescribed:

Blood test (general and biochemical).

· Research to determine the degree of dehydration (dehydration).

· Urinalysis (general).

· Analysis of feces for the presence of worms.

· Ultrasound examination of abdominal organs.

What drugs for diarrhea can I take without prescribing a doctor?

The best assistant in the fight against this disease, taking unawares, is a smectic. It can be taken by both adults and children. This medicine should take a permanent place in your home medicine cabinet, also do not forget to take it with you when you go on a trip. The undoubted advantage of this drug is that it has a natural origin and is produced from a special type of shell rock. Smecta, along with activated carbon, is an effective enterosorbent. Diarrhea, the causes of which intoxication and poisoning, is effectively eliminated by this drug, as it absorbs and removes from the body hydrochloric acid and excess bile.

Widely known is Enterol, which has an antidiarrheal effect. This medication is also natural, because it is based on a yeast fungus. It significantly improves the protective function of the intestine and effectively fights against viruses.
