Wine from irgi: recipe

As you know, fruits and berries are natural suppliers of vitamins, and therefore it is not unimportant that these components of the "natural basket" are always present on the table. This can be achieved by preserving fruits or using other methods of processing, for example, cooking compote or wine. In this case, the latter option is a curative, whose useful properties have been known since ancient times. Irga is a small tree or shrub of the family Pink with rounded dark green leaves and numerous white or cream flowers. The fruits of this plant are considered apples, although in appearance they look like small berries, dark blue or purple. They contain various substances, such as ascorbic acid, carotenes, tannins and others.

  1. Harvesting syrup. Water (about 2 liters) boil and add gradually (in small portions) sugar (1 kg), while the solution must be stirred. Boil the syrup for about 10 minutes on low heat.
  2. Preparation of juice. Wash and clean the fruits of the irgi, squeeze the juice. The number of fruits should be calculated in such a way as to obtain 1 liter of extract.
  3. Preparation of wine. Prepared juice add to a lightly cooled syrup, mix and pour into a special container (jar or bottle).
  4. To remove gases from fermentation, it is necessary to make an uncomplicated construction consisting of a plug with an opening where a rubber tube of small diameter is inserted. Its end must be taken in a vessel of water. Closing a cork with a bottle of wine, you need to wait until the drink becomes lighter. After this, it is poured into another container and left for three months.
  5. A ready-made drink can be poured over small bottles and stored in a "bottleneck" position. Wine should be consumed within a year.

You can also make wine from irgi (recipe two) as follows:

  1. Sugar (about 800 g) combine with half a liter of water. This solution must be added to half a liter of fruit juice and irrigated and put "wander" for a week. In this case, the liquid should not fill the tank to the top, and it should be closed only 24 hours after the spill.
  2. The drink should brighten, and a deposit should appear on the bottom of the bottles. It is necessary to carefully separate the upper layer of liquid in another container, and leave "wander".
  3. The procedure for cleaning the sediment is to continue until it is completely removed, that is, until the beverage becomes quite light. Then it should be poured into glass containers and left for storage.

Additional Information

Before making wine from irgi, it may be useful to find out the following information:

  • To obtain a qualitative result, it is necessary to use pure and not spoiled fruit;
  • To press berries is better with the help of tools made of wood or plastic, because when the juice contacts the metal parts, a change occurs at the chemical level, and wine from such raw materials does not work;
  • In order for the fermentation process to proceed well, you can add to the juice a special starter from the "wild" yeast, which is prepared from the grapes. To do this, you must first squeeze out the juice from several fruits of the vine and leave for a day or more. Then fermented liquid is added to the fruit drink.

Preparation of wine from irgi - the process is not difficult, while you can process the entire crop and get a wonderful drink that has useful properties. Its use will help in the treatment of digestive tract diseases, and it also helps in the decline of strength. In addition, this dessert wine can also be used as a tonic after a hard day's work.
