"The wolves are afraid - do not go to the forest." A small story about the meaning of the saying

Proverbs and sayings are part of our flesh and blood, if we were born and grew up in Russia. The same is true of those who have lived in our Fatherland for a long time. And, as a rule, people do not even think about what this or that expression means. We propose to disclose the meaning of one of these, namely: "Do not be afraid of wolves - do not go to the forest".

Russian epic

When a Russian person (perhaps not only him) is offered to present something terrible, he almost always sees a dark forest. Agree that in this place can happen anything.

Remember the Russian folk tales: Baba Yaga necessarily lives in a dense forest. Judging by national legends, all villains dwell there. Darkness is a sign of anxiety, anxiety, something unkind. The unknown has frightened a man for a long time, that's why they say: "Wolves should not be afraid to go into the woods", ie, if you are afraid of the dangers of any risky business, it is better not to undertake it at all.

Venedikt Erofeev

If people talk about some confusing business, then again comes to mind the image of a dark forest, and there, probably, live their wolves. Venedikt Erofeev studied well at school. Probably, he got on well with classmates, teachers, and even graduated from school with a gold medal, but he somehow did not ask for higher education. He tried several times to receive a diploma, but without success. And each time, going on the next test, he admonished himself: "It's nothing, nothing, wolves are afraid - do not go into the woods".

Difficult relations with education cast a shadow on the writer's whole life. Despite the fact that Venedikt Erofeev deserved a gold medal, he at one time still digged the channels and worked on low-skilled and poorly paid work. True, it was, you can say, his conscious choice. There are people who are not particularly afraid of life's collisions and defeats. Even if V. Erofeev were told that the matter (that is, his life) would end, he would answer well-wishers: "Wolves should not be afraid to go to the forest."

Adult life and proverb about wolves

School years may not be marvelous at all, and yet, the trials that people are going through at this time can hardly compare with the difficulties of adulthood.

If one does not know, adult life begins when the person pays the bills himself. He has obligations, and since then, fear is haunting him everywhere. The world seems to him a dark forest, and the surrounding people are wolves who are just waiting for him to stumble on the road of life to bite him. It is not without reason that the Roman sage said: "A man is a wolf to man."

Of course, above all, this is true with respect to labor. Especially if a person works in a large company, where the structure itself presupposes the presence of ratings and all indicators, and the worst in statistics drop out of the game. Then, involuntarily or involuntarily, the proverb about wolves comes to mind. We hope that now no one has any questions about what the phrase "Volkov is afraid of - does not go to the forest" means. The meaning of it, we think, is clear.

Remember that there are plenty of dangers in any business, but this is not a reason to not move at all. We need to fearlessly look into the distance and overcome possible life troubles, because it's rare for anyone to live life smoothly. Usually it consists of only bumps, and even segments in it happen infrequently. Even death should not be so afraid, for we die only once. And it is completely beyond our power to know when exactly this will happen, for the human being is "suddenly mortal," but even this should not overshadow our everyday life with its joys. And if we are no longer afraid of death, then we certainly will not be afraid of wolves in the darkest forest.

This turned out to be a reflection of the proverb "To be afraid of wolves - not to go to the forest". We hope the story pleased the reader.
