Ghana midfielder Vacaso Mubarak

Wakaso Mubarak is a Ghanaian footballer who plays for the Greek Panathinaikos. Russian fans, he could remember the game in the Kazan "Ruby". Wakaso Mubarak is a central midfielder who can also play on the flanks of midfield. To date, he is 26 years old, so he still has plenty of time ahead, but so far his results are not impressive.

Carier start

Wakaso Mubarak was born on July 25, 1990 in Ghana, where he joined the Adelaide Football Academy at age 12. In 2005, a 15-year-old guy went through a viewing at the club from the Higher Division "Ashanti Gold", where he moved. There he spent three more years, after which he entered into a professional contract. However, he managed to play only a couple of matches, when he noticed the European scouts. As a result, in summer 2008 he moved to the Spanish club "Elche", where he began his professional career. The amount that the Spaniards paid for Vakaso Mubarak was not disclosed.

Moving to Europe

In "Elche" Wakaso Mubarak, whose photographs began to appear in European sports publications, as he was considered as a great talent, spent three seasons. But we can not say that during this time he got a lot of practice: he came on the field only sixty times, scoring two goals in the last season. In 2010, his contract with the club expired, and the ganza had to look for work in Spain. Fortunately, he signed the "Villarreal", which immediately sent the player in a double, so that there he could score game practice.

Going to Villarreal

In the double, the midfielder proved to be quite good, so he began periodically to be called to the main team. But at the same time he could not get into the starting lineup: for two years, spent in the "Villarreal", Wakaso Mubarak, whose biography so far was not very impressive, played only 25 matches. As a result, he was sold for a symbolic amount of 300 thousand euros, "Hispaniola".

A new beginning in "Hispaniola"

In the new club, the 22-year-old midfielder was finally able to get the practice game, almost immediately booked a place in the starting lineup. As a result, during the season he spent 27 matches, in which he scored three goals. Ganets began to progress and attracted attention in Russia, where they seriously interested in the Kazan "Ruby". In the summer of 2013, the club paid six million euros to acquire an uncovered player.

The game for "Ruby" and rent

In the Kazan club, Wakaso, unfortunately, could not prove himself the same as in the "Hispaniola": for the year he entered the field only 20 times, scoring two goals. The management of the club decided to give the ganza for rent for a year in Celtic, but there the midfielder practically did not appear in the starting lineup. He came on the field only 11 times, scoring one goal. Such a result did not suit the leadership of the Russian club, and in the summer of 2015, Vacaso was sent to "Las Palmas", to Spain, where he reached his peak a few years ago. In Las Palmas, he spent a good season playing 24 matches and scoring two goals, but he still did not fit Ruby, who did not renew the contract with the 26-year-old Ghanaian. As a result, in the summer of 2016, Wakaso was left without work.

The contract with Panathinaikos

But without the club, the midfielder did not stay long. Already on July 9, the Greek Panathinaikos offered him a three-year contract. Now the Ghanaian defends the colors of the Greek club and this season he entered the field eight times, scoring one goal and giving six assists. Perhaps this is where he can regain his former form.

National team appearances

Despite not very successful club career, in the national team Wakaso has already played 42 games, in which he scored 11 goals and gave two assists. He debuted in October 2012 and from the second match began to differ assists. In six games in a row, he scored five goals and gave three assists. This was one of the main reasons that the Ghana national team took the fourth place in the Cup of Africa in 2013. Since then, he is one of the most important players in the team - he was twice replaced at the World Cup in 2014, and in the 2015 Africa Cup, where the Ghans reached the finals, was the base player.
