Her real name is Gorin. Biography of Gorin
Interest in the personality of Grigory Izrailevich, his literary and cinematographic masterpieces and what the real name of Gorin is, speaks about the enormous popularity of the famous Russian satirist and the demand for a genre in which he was especially famous. Someone knows him primarily as a writer, someone remembered him as a TV presenter, for others he is a brilliant screenwriter, for others - a witty humorist.
Biography of Gorin. Childhood
The writer joked that he had several biographies - he had to "select the appropriate one" for each book he published. And each of these biographies, of course, is real. Surname Gorina adorns the title pages of publicistic and art publications, dozens of works created for the theater and cinema. The writer claimed that as a playwright he was born in 1968, as a screenwriter for the first time "sounded" in the 70s, but his birth as a humorist Gorin noted the real date of birth: March 12, 1940. Little Grisha came to the world in happy moments, with cheers, laughter and applause: on the radio at that moment they reported the end of the military conflict between the USSR and Finland. "... feeling when you're yelling ... and everyone laughing around ... determined my creative destiny," Gorin joked. His humor was never rude and flat, he mixed in a special ironic-intellectual manner, fascinating the audience and making her fond of this unflappable, cheerful person.
The origin of the alias
The real name is Gorina - Offstein. She got it from her father, who was an officer in the rank of lieutenant-colonel. During the Great Patriotic War, Israel Abelevich served in the 150th Division of the Third Shock Army of the First Byelorussian Front. My mother worked as an ambulance, Gorinskaya - her real name.
Gorina-Ofshteyna was often "tormented" by publishers: they say, with a Jewish name, he has little chance to print his magnificent creations. Since 1963, the writer has worked under the pseudonym Gorin. Perhaps, his mother's mother's maiden name was his source. Or maybe Grigory Izrailevich was guided by the history of the origin of the name Gorin, which arose on behalf of Gregory. Thus, it turned out that the name and surname of the humorist duplicated each other. And when the journalists asked the question about what the real name of the satirist Grigory Gorin was, he answered with a joke, they say, it is the abbreviation of the phrase "Grisha Offstein decided to change his nationality". Later, Grigory Izrailevich penned his official name.
Doctor writer
As a child, Grigory was confident that he would become a writer, so he entered the medical institute - a place "where they taught ... the wisdoms of life and did it ... fun."
Gorin, without stopping, wrote feuilletons and humoresques, working as a doctor in the ambulance brigade. But literature eventually won, and the budding writer became a member of the Writers' Union and, as he said with a smile, "was forced to leave medicine alone". The fact that she "did not leave" the writer for the rest of her life, was told by his colleagues. So, Gennady Khazanov recalled how his head ached, did not help any drugs, but when he heard Gorin's speech on TV, the pain disappeared without a trace. Gorin can be called a "doctor" of human souls, because his exquisite humor and philosophically painted irony give a rare opportunity to look at himself and the world around with amazing criticality.
A satirist or humorist?
Grigory Gorin always insisted that he does not see himself as a fighter, whose mission is to improve life, but he saw his calling in making it easier, scattering around the living lights of sparkling humor. Someone from the celebrities of the past noticed that satire is a humor that has lost patience. Gorin's patience has always been abundant.
Successful career Gorina
For the first time the story of the young writer was printed on the sixteenth page of the authoritative Literary Gazette. This happened in 1960. Six years later, Gorin published the first book, where his prose adjoins the works of other authors. In the same period, the humorist, in a creative tandem with Arkady Arkanov, wrote several plays. One of them - "Banquet", staged in 1968 by Mark Zakharov, caused a resounding success in the Moscow Satire Theater. Actual and sharp performance actors played only thirteen times, until the censors-officials came to their senses. In 1970, the theater of the Soviet Army hosted the premiere of Gorin's play "Forgetting Herostratus" (later the tragicomedy was readily hosted by other theaters). This same year marked the beginning of the renewal and growth of the popularity of the Moscow theater Lenkom.
Work in the cinema
In our country there is probably no one who would not see the films created by Zakharov and Gorin. These movie masterpieces have always become a cultural event. Witty and entertaining movies - "Ordinary Miracle", "The Munchhausen", "The Formula of Love" and others - are full of subtle allegories and philosophical depths. Released on the screens at the beginning of perestroika, the film "Kill the Dragon" allegorically expressed the vitality of the sinister, hypocritically disguised as an innocence, evil energy.
In co-authorship with Eldar Ryazanov, Gorin wrote the script for the film "On the poor hussar, interrupt the word" in 1978. The text about the dark atmosphere of provocations, denunciations, meanness of secret police in the forties of the nineteenth century unambiguously hinted at the situation that had developed by the end of the seventies of the twentieth century. Censorship of the "shredded" script of the film, which appeared on the screens of the country only a year later.
In total in the Gorinsky film collection there are about twenty wonderful adaptations.
Two sad comedians
The creative duet Gorin - Arkanov was formed when both were just beginning to be printed, and lasted more than ten years. Their joint plays and humoresks had a tremendous success. Both authors are characterized by the manner of telling surprisingly funny things with a murderous serious face. The writers understood each other with a half-word. According to Arkady Arkanov, a man with whom he could be safely sent to a long space flight was Grigory Gorin. The real name of Arkanov (Steinbock) also left no doubt about his nationality, and the satirist also had to change it.
Smile, gentlemen!
True glory is when writer's words become folklore. There were dozens of such phrases and aphorisms. About love, as a theorem that always requires proof, and about an institution with a bad name, due to which he had no lights from visitors, and that the Russians long harnessed, but did not go anywhere. And what is the phrase in the movie about Munchausen that all the stupid things on earth are committed with a clever face!
Universal Gift
Gorin has never been more important, he did not have a trace of arrogance. The viewers remembered his subtle and funny humoresks, which he read with an imperturbably serious face in the program "Around Laughter" for almost ten years. In the early 1990's he became a member of the judges of the KVN Major League, then - the author, participant and host of the television program "White Parrot".
Gorin's gift was multifaceted. Like Chekhov, he combined the talent of a storyteller and playwright. According to the depth and scale of the philosophical and allegorical interpretation of life, critics rightly compare it to Swift and Brecht. Without exaggeration, Grigory Gorin is a unique and bright phenomenon in our culture.
