Signal weapons

Signaling revolvers and pistols, the caliber of which exceeds 6 mm, and also the cartridges of which can be used as gas or firearms, are recognized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as dangerous for human life and are subject to mandatory registration, respectively, licensing.

The license for such a signal revolver can be obtained from the local police department. It is worth noting that such a document is also a permit to carry and store weapons. As a rule, its effect does not exceed five years from the date of issue. When you register, you will be required to have a product passport and a license with the appropriate marks of the seller of this gun. Revolvers brought from abroad are subjected to a more thorough examination, except for copies purchased for collections.

Naturally, most often signal weapons are purchased by travelers, lovers of extreme sports, seafarers, etc. Such a gun can also become an excellent gift to an expensive man. Even taking into account the fact that it does not apply to combat, sale to minors is prohibited. The most popular type of such weapons in our country is the Nagan signal (pistol). Its feature is that outwardly it is very similar to military weapons, and the sound of the shot is identical to the present, although in use it is absolutely harmless. But more often you can see examples when the signal weapon is used not for its intended purpose, but as a kind of self-defense. For example, from stray dogs or from hooligans, after all, in addition to scaring one species, you can also shoot in the air, and the sound is very frightening.

And although the outwardly signaling gun is very similar to the real one, there are differences. For example, its trunk is absolutely smooth, without transitions of the main part to the chamber, a uniform diameter along the entire length. Such pistols are usually single-barreled, but there are individual specimens in double-barreled version.
