Connecting the circuit breaker yourself

Before connecting the circuit breaker, it is necessary to fix the mounting box in the wall.

If the wiring for the installation of the switch is hidden, then it is necessary to use a mounting box made of plastic with a diameter of 69 mm and a width of 40 mm.

Fixing the mounting box in solid walls must be done with a plaster solution, and if the wall is hollow, then it is necessary to fix it with the help of the feet.

After the terminal box is installed, you can connect the wires. The points in which the wires are connected to the switch terminals are called terminals.

The switch is connected by 4 types of terminals.

1. The wire is clamped by the end of the screw of the switch. This kind of connection is of poor quality, because the wire can break off in the near future. Even though the wire will be tightly tightened with a screw, sooner or later the contact weakens and sparking begins. Therefore, the screw must be periodically twisted.
2. Screwless method. The wire must be inserted into the contact hole when the key is pressed. When the key is released, the wire is clamped. This method is not very convenient, if in the future, it will be necessary to disconnect the wires, especially if the wiring is made of aluminum wires.
3. Clip the wires on the plate with a screw cap. If a person does not have the necessary experience, then such a method will be difficult for him. Because it will be necessary to immediately tighten the 2 wires with one screw.
4. The best way is to clamp the screw holding the wire. When using such a connection, it is possible to fix two wires to one terminal at a time.

Before connecting the circuit breaker, the top cover and keys are removed from it. To the one- key switches , only two wires are usually connected - phase and zero. And if you are connecting a two-button switch, then you need to connect the phase to the break, and connect 2 zeros to the keys.

After the wires are connected, the switch is fixed in the junction box. The final step is to screw the cover to the switch and insert the key.

Now, step by step, we will consider the connection of the pass-through switch.

1. First you need to turn off the power supply completely.
2. It is determined where the lighting device will be powered from and the place where the junction box will be installed is selected .
3. The installation of distribution boxes includes its installation in the wall and the laying of zero and phase conductors.
4. The way of laying the wiring is selected - open or closed.
5. Next, a pass-through switch is connected , which is located closest to the junction box, then the switches are interconnected.
6. The last one connects the phase wire from the last switch directly to the lighting device.
7. The phase conductor must necessarily fit precisely to the switches to prevent rapid wear of the insulation.
