The decoration of urban flowerbeds and household plots often becomes a bright yellow-orange rose "Rumba floribunda." The beauty of this flower fascinates and improves mood. A saturated color creates a sense of celebration.

How did the group of Floribunda varieties

In a huge genus of wild roses (dog-rose) more than 400 different species. Well, it would seem, what do people lack? Why come up with something else? But from century to century, laborious work was carried out to develop new garden varieties of roses. The petals grew larger, their shape became more complex, the dyes became brighter, and the flavors became more saturated.

There are two variants of the appearance of this group of roses. According to the first, the first Floribunda was bred by Peter Lambert in 1880. The second option claims that Floribundu was brought out by the Danish breeder Poulsen in 1924. In one issue, agreement was reached, the group was bred by crossing the polyanthus and tea roses.

Rose Rumba. Appearance

The variety "Rumba" is a typical representative of the family. Roses of this kind adorn the flower beds for more than 50 years. Rumba flowers are unique in their own way. In the process of flowering, they change their color. The center is painted in bright yellow, and the edges of the petals vary from fiery red to orange. The rose is named Rumba in honor of the bright and sensual outfits of Hispanic dancers. Flowers are as magnificent as they say - terry, they consist of 30-40 petals. The variety is abundant and rich in flowering throughout the summer.

How else can you determine that before you is a beautiful Rose Rumba? The plant description can be continued as follows: the bush is relatively low (maximum 60-70 cm), with a large number of inflorescences. On one plant can be from 5 to 20 flowers. Flowers should be gradually cut off, because after drying they do not themselves crumble. Brushes of the inflorescence gradually change the shade, and the leaves remain dark green and shiny. It seems that the sheet is covered with wax.

Characteristic distinctive feature

Rose Rumba is different from other garden roses by the lack of thorns. It is very convenient when growing along the tracks, because the bush does not scratch and does not leave hooks on clothes.

The variety is not susceptible to fungal diseases and is not afraid of frost. Bushes do not suffer from overflow or a lot of precipitation. The plant easily tolerates poor soils, but requires a lot of sunlight.

Proper planting

The landing site should be well lit, but not subject to winds. Before planting, the root system of the seedling is immersed in water and only then buried in the ground. The landing time is April-May. The distance between adjacent bushes is not less than 30 cm. After planting, the seedling is hilled. Add a bird droppings or some kind of manure when planting, the plant may die.

It is desirable to choose a weakly acid loose soil, this creates optimal conditions for the growth and development of floribunda. Despite the need for regular watering, the sites with a high level of groundwater under Rumba should not be chosen, so that the root system does not rot.

On the flower beds the rose Rumba feels well next to the stunted plants. The taller bushes will create a partial shadow and will worsen Floribunda's bloom.

Proper care for the variety

Have you seen the rose Rumba look like? Photos fascinate beauty and splendor. But if the plant is not properly cared for, then it will not be possible to achieve such beauty. However, this does not mean that the florist expects a large amount of work. Rumba is very unpretentious.

The main thing in the care of flowers is the proper pruning. The stem is cut 5 cm above the developed kidney at an angle of 45 °. The garden pruner should be sharp so that no cracks appear on the cut. Before trimming the entire garden tool is disinfected, so as not to transfer the plant pathogens from other species. Pruning is carried out towards the end of October. Cropped Rose Rumba is treated with antifungal chemicals.

For wintering, rose bushes are wrapped up, despite the fact that the variety is considered frost-resistant.

Rumba is well suited not only for decoration of park areas and front gardens, but also for making bouquets. Especially good flower looks in decorative baskets.

Applying the above recommendations, you will be able to grow a beautiful plant that will decorate the flowerbeds with its unusual color and bring some zest.
