The amount of pension

Calculation of pensions by average monthly salary

The average monthly earnings are calculated on the basis of the average monthly salary, which includes the following types of payments:

• Salary for the month in accordance with the post;
• Salary for the title;
• Extra charge for long service;
• Any types of premiums;
• A one-time payment of vacation, material assistance.

Proceeding from this, the full salary is taken into account, and not only its basic salary. The calculation does not include periods when there was no payment: leave at your own expense, period of incapacity for work. If at this time there were accruals, then they are not taken into account when calculating pensions.

The calculation of the total pension is made by dividing the salary for a year by twelve. If in the billing period there were days when the citizen was without a monetary allowance, the amount of pension is calculated by dividing the received amount by the number of days worked and multiplying by the average number of working days in a month.

Increase in retirement age

Since 2017, the retirement age for civil servants has been increased. The bill was adopted in the spring of 2016. Now the retirement age of citizens working in state and federal institutions comes at the age of 63 and 65 years for women and men, respectively.

However, to such indicators it is decided to go gradually, annually increasing the age of retirement for six months. In 2017, the age should be 55.5 and 60.5 years. By 2026, the age of retirement of civil servants of men will be reached. Women will come to the new data only by 2032.
