In flour, chopped with margarine, pour in this water and mix the dough fairly quickly. Cover it with a damp cloth and put in the cold for 2-3 hours. After that, roll it 2 times, add the dough with each time in 3 or 4 layers.

When preparing puff pastry, you need to remember some basic "secrets". When kneading the dough, it is especially important to make sure that lumps do not form in it, even the smallest. Because they can spoil the whole future product. It is necessary to rub it only in one direction (exclusively clockwise).

The most important secret is the presence of cold. So, puff pastry in France is prepared on tables that have a drawer under the cutting surface for the entire width of the table. And it is completely filled with ice. Of course, everything is much more complicated for us. Before preparation they take out to the frost or in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes semi-finished products - butter and dough. And after every two rolling in the cold, they immediately put out the puff pastry. And the third secret: the full rolling of the puff pastry is done seven times.

Baking products from this test has certain features. So, before baking cakes of puff pastry, the cake itself should be poured or smeared with cold water. There is another option. For example, they can be baked not on the metal sheet, but on cardboard or paper, putting them on the grate. In the same way, you can bake in the oven and cake from a short pastry.

Generally, cakes are the very first and favorite delicacy not only of children, but also of adults. After all, their taste is much more interesting and original than all other baked delicacies. Cakes made of puff pastry - an excellent option for a light snack during a busy time. After all, such a sweet joy will provide strength and for a while will eliminate the feeling of hunger.

So, to cook such cakes of puff pastry, roll out a dough not more than 1 cm thick. Whole its surface, grease with beaten yolk and sprinkle sugar over it. After the sugar sticks a little to the test, cut the layer into small blocks (3 cm wide and 12 cm long). Drink the trays with water and put brushes on it. At a temperature of not more than 220 degrees, bake cakes for about 20 minutes.

Very tasty cakes are obtained with apples. For their preparation you will need 500 grams of puff pastry, about 7 apples, sugar and powdered sugar. First of all, you should clean apples, divide them into 4 parts and cut into slices of 2 mm. In the saucepan pour the water, pour the apples there and add a small amount of sugar and citric acid. As soon as it boils, immediately remove from heat.

Roll the dough into strips 2 cm wide and 35-40 cm long. Top with apple slices and roll into rolls, put on a baking tray, oiled, and bake for 20 minutes. Ready to puff pastry sprinkled with powdered sugar.
