Certain layers of the human psyche have much in common with the animal world. This refers to the basic innate instincts, for example, the continuation of the genus and self-preservation. One of the manifestations of the latter is a sense of fear that makes us avoid situations that are dangerous for life and health. In turn, one of the aspects of fear is fright - the reflex action of a subconscious creature. And if, with a static sense of fear, you can somehow cope and subordinate it to conscious control, then with an unexpectedly manifested fear, it is much more difficult to normalize the situation and your health.

All this also applies to young children, who, moreover, do not yet have a developed consciousness, no life experience, or a baggage of knowledge. Therefore, instincts over them dominate the full force of their primordial chaotic entity. The particular harm of a strong fright for a child is that the consequences of it can be very serious and remain for life. This is because the fragile psyche and the baby's body do not have immunity in the form of psychological and physiological mechanisms to neutralize destructive emotions such as intense fear and fright. Therefore, it is very important for parents and guardians to prevent such incidents for the sake of the child's health and well-being.

From antiquity with child fright struggled with a variety of improvised methods. One of the most popular and characteristic of all cultures was the entrusting of the child to the patronage of higher powers - gods, spirits, patron angels and other benevolent entities, who read various prayers from fear and evil eye. In addition, by means of magic and amulets people tried to prevent the impact of negative harmful energies and various demons on the child.

Since then, many centuries have passed, people have learned to swim the oceans, manage the elements, invent electricity and even began to fly into space and clone living beings. However, magic, like religion, is still popular among people. Each explains to himself the reason for this. Someone completely believes in the existence of parallel subtle and spiritual worlds, and someone refers to the psychological effect of auto-suggestion. Whatever it is in reality, prayers from children's fright, like other ritual things, are quite working for themselves. Therefore, it makes sense to talk about them at least for general acquaintance.

About the nature of fright

Speaking of fright, you must first touch the topic of hormones. When the brain receives an external signal that regards it as "SOS", it instantly throws the lion's share of adrenaline into the blood, which mobilizes the body's strengths to fight the danger. On the other hand, some other hormones and neurotransmitters come into play, different for women and for men. So sometimes the fright brakes and literally binds the person on the hands and feet. Particularly harmful in this sense is cholecystokinin, which is responsible for feeling panic, fear, depression and physical malaise at moments of fright.

Symptoms of fright in children

Fright in a child is most often manifested in crying, restless behavior, refusal to eat and in wet diapers. He can have both external causes, and be rooted in heredity. Earlier, by the way, this was taken into account when choosing specific conspiracies and prayers from the fright of children. The main thing is to make sure that the cause of the baby's ailment is fear, and not some other circumstances and disorders.

In different countries, various rituals, rituals and prayers exist and practice to overcome fright. This is due to the peculiarities of local culture and the established religious doctrine. In Russia, for example, since Christianization, Orthodox prayers are mostly used for fright. Although there was always a parallel pagan reflection. The second feature is that the church is extremely negative about conspiracies - witchcraft is considered a very serious sin, equivalent to devil-worship. Nevertheless, the conspiracies of fear in Russia have always flourished, and often even had a completely Christian color, turning from time to time into full-fledged prayers from children's fright.
