Kutja memorial: the recipe of preparation

Most of the rites of the Slavs have long been accompanied by a special dinner, which was attended by a dish that symbolizes a certain element, for example, the grain of any cereal - the land. Not just an exception has become a commemorative haunt, the recipe of which will be proposed in this article.

In the culture of the Slavs there is a clear line between the world of the dead and the living, which must be overcome by the deceased person. It is the funeral dinner that should help the deceased person to make this transition. The funeral dinner always began with the use of three spoons of kutya.

Kutya memorial, the recipe of which came to us from ancient times, is a porridge with raisins, fruits and nuts, prepared from whole grains of wheat or rice, which were formerly first pounded in a mortar with a small amount of water, after which they boiled for several hours in the oven.

To date, the most commonly used recipe for kutya for a wake, according to which you need to fill a glass of rice with half a glass of boiling water and cook for five minutes over medium heat, then cover the pan and leave for twenty minutes for the dish to stand. Meanwhile, raisins are washed, poured hot water and left for ten minutes, and the nuts are cleaned, washed, doused with boiling water and ground. After a while, the water is drained, the raisins are dried, mixed with rice and nuts, laid in a dish in a dish and sprinkled with nuts. The ready-made kutya is consumed from one common plate, which serves as a symbol of the unity of all participants in the memorial dinner.

Also kutya the memorial recipe can have the following:

1. To prepare this dish, you need to take two glasses of wheat, one glass of poppy and nuts, one hundred grams of honey, fifty grams of raisins.

Wheat should be thoroughly rinsed and soaked for two hours in cold water, then cook until ready. In the meantime, wash the poppy, pour it with boiling water for half an hour, then grind in a meat grinder or blender. Nuts must also be grinded and fried in a pan, and raisins - rinsed and dried. In the finished wheat, add all the prepared ingredients and mix.

2. Kutia memorial (recipe with the addition of dried fruits).

Ingredients: one glass of wheat and nuts, half a glass of poppy, dried fruits and raisins.

Wheat washed and soaked for four hours in cold water, after which the rump is boiled in two glasses of water for two hours. Poppy poured boiling water, dried and crushed in a blender. Raisins and dried fruits are poured with boiling water, dried and chopped. In the finished porridge add all the ingredients, mix well and spread on a large dish.

3. Kutia memorial with almond milk.

Ingredients: one glass of rice, almond milk and raisins, half a cup of sugar, cinnamon.

Rice must be rinsed, welded, thrown back on a sieve. To him add cinnamon, sugar, scalded with boiling water raisins. Mix all the ingredients and cook over medium heat. When the dish is cooled, it is poured with almond milk.

Almond milk is prepared as follows: one glass of sweet peeled and crushed almonds is gradually added a glass of cooled boiled water, mixed and passed through a sieve. Almond cake is rubbed in a mortar, diluted with water and added to the first mixture.
