A stool with your own hands: how to do it right?

A stool is an integral part of the household, which is simply indispensable along with the countertop in the kitchen. Especially now, folding chairs are relevant , which by design can be compactly placed in the trunk and used at the dacha, picnic or family rest. But in any case, no matter how universal it may be, a stool with its own hands is made with the use of the same tools, and on a similar principle. How is the stool done with their own hands?

Drawings - that's what you need to prepare first. This drawing can look like anything (one example is shown on the second photo), the main thing is to observe the correspondence of the sizes and indicate the length of each part of the object. After the drawing has been prepared, measure and cut out the boards according to the dimensions in the drawing. Cutting is best with the help of an electric jig saw, as the usual mechanical often breaks the blade. Now it is necessary to cut the end part of each of the prepared legs, while focusing on your own template (drawing). Do not use 3 legs at all, as this will make your stool less stable. For the average stool, you can use the support boards in width of 5-10 centimeters depending on whether they are round, rectangular or square. What to do next?

After all 4 legs have been put on the threaded bar, it is necessary to drill holes in the support beams in their support beams. Also it should be done with armrests, if such are provided in your design. The location of these holes is measured by means of a compass and a thicknesser. When the support bars and armrests were treated with glue, they are put on the dowels. You can connect them as follows: on the surface of the hammer to attach a layer of rubber a few millimeters wide and periodically tapping the structure until it reaches the desired result. How to achieve strength of joints?

To do this, you need to clamp the clamped stool between two auxiliary boards. In this case, the legs and arms are also pressed against this tool. For the latter, it is necessary to make a gluing from the board approximately in 20 millimeters. After that, it must be connected to the armrests. At the last stage, you should fix the device with dowels on one side, and with the other, throw the backrest onto the round bar to fix the structure in the unfolded state.
