Frog legs - French delicacy

More recently, frog legs were considered an exotic French dish. Only especially brave gourmets could try it exclusively in expensive restaurants. But gradually, thanks to its amazing taste and nutritional properties, this dish has conquered the whole world. Now his recipes are found in almost all national cuisines. We will tell you how to prepare frog paws at home and submit them to their table. This delicacy will certainly surprise the guests.

Frog legs in the egg

Ingredients:

  • 24 paws;
  • 6 tbsp. L. olive oil;
  • a glass of flour;
  • 1 tbsp. L. Shredded parsley;
  • Six eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. L. Grated cheese and the same amount of butter.

Wash and dry the paws, roll them in flour. Then fry in olive oil (use somewhere four spoons). Take out your paws and put them on paper towels - you need to get rid of excess fat. Now cool them and remove the bones. All eggs break, mix with cheese and herbs and mix. Take care not to foam. Melt the butter with the remains of olive. When it warms up, add eggs and paws to it so that they are well filled. When the protein starts to solidify, cover the container with a lid and continue cooking on a small fire. This must be done before the eggs are ready. The dish should be served directly in a frying pan.

Frog legs in tomato

You will need:

  • 36 feet;
  • Two cloves of garlic;
  • One shredded onion bulb;
  • 2 chopped tomatoes;
  • A spoonful of salt;
  • 400 grams of chopped celery stalk;
  • 4 tbsp. L. Flour and olive oil;
  • One spoonful of pepper, butter and shredded parsley;
  • 6 toast.

First you need to cook the sauce. For this, mix onion, garlic, olive oil and celery. The entire mixture is fried until the garlic is brown,
After which it must be removed. When all the other vegetables are softened, add the tomatoes to the sauce and cook it for 10-15 minutes over a small fire. The sauce is ready. The feet themselves need to be rolled in flour and pasteurized in butter. Do this until dyeing them in golden color. Now put the paws in the sauce and simmer for another five minutes. The dish is served with parsley and croutons.

Breaded frog legs

For this dish you need:

  • 25 feet;
  • 200 g of breadcrumbs;
  • 50 grams of flour;
  • 3 eggs;
  • lemon;
  • 100 g of oil;
  • A tablespoon of capers.

Ingredients for sauce:

  • A glass of mutton broth;
  • 2 tbsp. L. Butter;
  • a glass of milk;
  • 4 tbsp. L. Flour;
  • A teaspoon of vinegar;
  • Pepper, salt.

To create a sauce, simply combine all the necessary ingredients and mix until a homogeneous mass appears. Paws wash, salt, pan in flour and breadcrumbs, and then fry in hot oil. Served separately from the sauce, with capers or lemon.

Where to buy paws?

Despite the fact that this dish is a fairly rare guest on the Russian table, frog paws can be bought in almost any supermarket. It is very possible that soon the limbs of marsh beauties will appear on the festive table with the same frequency, as, for example, dishes made from chicken or fish. After all, frogs can be cooked as varied. The only drawback of this dish is its price, which does not yet allow the use of paws as everyday food.
