Failures in the work of the respiratory system, bronchitis, treatment.

The most common disease of the respiratory lower pathway is bronchitis, which is an inflammation of the bronchial walls. Bronchi have a structure in the form of a set of tubes of various sizes, which are conductive paths for the inhaled air into the lungs. With inflammation of the walls of the bronchi arises their edema, which leads to clogging of air, both entering the lungs and emerging from them. Thus, bronchitis, the treatment of which must be carried out immediately, resembles such diseases of the respiratory system as asthma, whooping cough or even a common cold. Therefore, it is extremely important to distinguish bronchitis from other diseases in order to apply the right treatment. In the event that treatment is not performed on time, complications can occur in the form of pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, as well as diseases of the heart and blood vessels.

It can be said that bronchitis, whose treatment lasts several days, arises for many reasons:

  • For colds and viruses (bronchitis can complicate the flu, herpes, adenovirus and many different SARS);
  • When microbes, dust and toxic gases get into the human body;
  • When smoking a long period of time;
  • Due to the development of allergies.

Thus, bronchitis develops as an independent disease due to the impact on the human body of a number of provoking factors. The disease can occur in the acute (in this case, talking about viral bronchitis), and chronic forms.

When a viral bronchitis occurs, the disease is often complicated by the attachment of a bacterial infection. His symptoms are dry cough, which eventually changes to wet, accompanied by an increase in temperature and the appearance of a headache. Usually viral bronchitis treatment assumes a fairly conservative, so in most cases the outcome of the disease is favorable. However, complication of the disease can lead to pneumonia or other serious consequences.

In the chronic form of bronchitis, a persistent cough is present in a person , which in the morning is intensified and accompanied by secretions of yellow-gray sputum, with dyspnea, chills, in many cases, the legs swell, and the temperature may rise. At the initial stage, chronic antibiotic treatment does not involve chronic bronchitis, antibacterial agents are extremely necessary at a later stage. In the event that there is blood in the sputum, it is necessary to undergo an emergency examination to exclude tuberculosis or cancer. Thus, the most important sign of the appearance of bronchitis is a cough, both with phlegm, and without.

Diagnosis of the disease using the method of listening to the lungs and bronchi with a stethoscope, for this purpose, also used X-rays and related analyzes. If a bronchitis is diagnosed, treatment is prescribed depending on the degree of its development. Anti-inflammatory and antitussive agents are widely used , drugs that dilute mucus, inhalation. Antibacterial agents are used in cases when sputum appears with impurities of pus or blood, and in the case of obvious inflammatory processes in the body. In severe cases, sulfonamides are sometimes used.

Treatment of exacerbation of chronic bronchitis reduces the prolongation of periods of remission and restoration of patency of the bronchi. In this case, different drugs are used, depending on the duration of the disease and the duration of its exacerbation, as well as physiotherapy. Still it is necessary to adhere to the correct diet, to use vitamins and biostimulants.

Thus, bronchitis treatment involves symptomatic, depending on the severity of the disease and the form of its development. In any case, a timely examination is required to minimize the risk of complications.
