Surely, many of you like to treat yourself with such a hearty treat, like shaurma. Ready to eat it for breakfast and dinner? But what do those who "sit" on a diet and adhere to a particular food system? Option "to give up tasty" does not suit you at all? Then there is a way out - dietary shaurma.

Today, we will share with you a recipe that will be a godsend for those who observe proper nutrition and do not want to eat anything from roast and fat. Dietary shawarma, the recipe of which we will offer you today, does not scare with high caloric content, high fat content and heaviness in the stomach.

Yes, even such a dish as shaurma can be low-calorie. And, by the way, quite inexpensive in terms of the cost of a set of products, which can also be varied if desired, which is a big plus for the dish.

Ingredients for the first recipe

  • Lavash (one piece per serving).
  • One small tomato.
  • Two tablespoons of pickled mushrooms.
  • One lightly salted cucumber.
  • 200 grams of chicken breast.
  • Hard cheese (if desired and without breaking the barrier of calories).

Ingredients for the second option

  • 200 grams of pita bread (it's better to buy thin Armenian lavash, do not take thick cakes that are sold in supermarkets).
  • One hundred grams of tomatoes.
  • 180 grams of Peking cabbage or any green lettuce.
  • One small fresh cucumber.
  • Boiled chicken breast.
  • Fused "sausage" cheese (optional).

Kefir sauce

As you understand, dietary shawarma can not be cooked with the participation of fatty mayonnaise or high-calorie tomato paste with starch, etc. Therefore, we suggest you prepare a low-calorie sauce. He will consist of:

  • Kefir - 250 ml.
  • Three cloves of garlic.
  • Half a teaspoon of salt.

We spread the lavash on the table. As a rule, in a standard recipe as a sauce, there is a mixture of mayonnaise, ketchup, fatty sour cream and kefir. But since we are preparing a home-made dietary shawarma, we will lubricate lavash with kefir sauce. For lubrication, you can use a special silicone brush or a regular tablespoon.

Next on the list is the addition of meat. We recommend chicken breast not to cut, but to tear your hands in small pieces. After the meat comes a layer of tomatoes, then - cucumbers and mushrooms. You can optionally add some more pickled vegetables, for example, eggplant or cabbage. Also it will be very tasty and at the same time low in calories.

If someone seems that pickled vegetables and mushrooms - after all, the food is rich and high-calorie, then we offer a second, even easier option. Such a dietary shawarma can be called (as opposed to the first) "summer". Only fresh vegetables will be present here.

As in the first recipe, all the ingredients are finely chopped. Peking cabbage tears in small pieces. We do the same with chicken boiled meat. Sausage cheese on a large grater. You can, of course, use the usual hard cheese, but for caloric content it will be much more unhelpful than fused. Choose yourself.

We spread pita bread. We spread it with kefir sauce and place all the ingredients on the layers: chicken, tomato, cucumber, cabbage, cheese. Roll the roll and into the oven for two or three minutes.

  • Fried chicken liver, fresh salad, cucumber, kefir sauce.
  • Fried aubergines, fresh cucumber, sweet Bulgarian pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried with onions.

Sauces for home-made shawarma

Squeeze juice from one large orange. Add to it half a teaspoon of liquid honey, a pinch of dried ginger, basil, parsley, cilantro. Next, add one teaspoon of not burning mustard. If you like hot, then add red pepper instead of mustard.
