Jam for 5 minutes

So, the jam from red currants - "Five minutes". It is called so because it is prepared, indeed, very quickly. The process of preparing the cans, processing and cleaning berries takes much longer. Banks must be washed in advance, rinsed with soda solution, sterilized. Jam from red currants ("five minutes") has a variety of recipes. Do it only from berries and sugar, as well as using other ingredients that improve the taste of delicacies. Let us dwell in more detail on several variants.

Recipe # 1

This jam of red currants - "five minutes" - is prepared in this way: carefully cleanse the berries, pick them, pick them up from the twigs. For 1 kilogram, 1.3 to 1.5 kg of sugar is required. Dilute it in half a glass of water, boil. Berries pour into the basin, pour the resulting syrup, wait for the boil. Since we have red currant jam ("five minutes"), mark the time. On a good fire, let the billet boil exactly the specified time. Then, without turning off the fire, pack the jam on the jars and immediately tighten.

Recipe # 2

In a slightly different way, "Pyatiminutka" is prepared according to this recipe: washed and handled berries are filled with sugar directly into the basin. It is necessary to give them to stand about 6 hours, to let more juice. Then put the pellet on the fire, bring to a boil, intensively cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Then pour boiling over the cans and close. As you can see, in the process there is absolutely nothing complicated! And the result is at least the first option, though the second is the most delicious!

Currant and vanilla

A rather unusual jam from red currant is obtained if you add vanilla to it. And as an important ingredient is not just sugar, and gelling. This is a special type of sugar, which includes pectin with citric acid. 2 kg of currant requires 1 kg of this product (concentration 2: 1). And 1-2 vanilla pods. You can get a tasty jam from red currant in this way: pour the prepared berries with a small amount of water and allow to boil. Then remove from heat, flip it over a sieve and wipe to make a puree-like mass. Put it back in a basin of water, break the vanilla pods and put it there, put in the sugar and put it on the fire. Allow to puff for 5 minutes, take out the vanilla, spread the jam into jars and close.

Currant with courgettes

Original, wonderful to taste jam came to us from the old French cuisine. It is prepared from zucchini and berries. The first component requires 2 kg, the second - 1. And about 2.5-3 kg of sugar. Marrows are cut into cubes, berries are added to them, sugar is poured on top. Hours after 6-10, when enough juice is already in the basin, it is put on fire. Jam should be brought to a boil, cook for 5-7 minutes, allow to cool. Again put on gas, for 5 minutes, again cool. And the third time to boil, cook for 10 minutes, pour into cans, close.
