Bulldozer B-10: specifications, dimensions, features

Despite the fact that bulldozers are the least productive type of equipment, it is impossible to completely exclude them from the production of construction works. Therefore, construction companies must select a technique whose performance will be at one level or higher than the costs associated with its operation and maintenance.

To solve this problem it is possible, having introduced into the production process bulldozer B-10 - the child of the Chelyabinsk plant of industrial tractors. ChPTZ has been carrying out systematic work on modernization and improvement of its products for many years, implements new technical solutions, many of which were embodied in the bulldozer under consideration.

Purpose

The bulldozer is designed for the development of soil 1-3 groups without preliminary loosening, 4 groups with preliminary treatment of the earth's surface by rippers, as well as fractured rock and frozen soil. The modification of the bulldozer B-10M is equipped with a toothed ripper, which increases the range of its effective application.

Bulldozer B-10 is able to work in any climatic conditions in the temperature range from -45 to +50 ⁰ C. The working capacity of the machinery is guaranteed even in conditions of high dust content and high humidity, and at altitudes up to 3 thousand meters above sea level. The bulldozer is most effective at medium range from 100 to 200 meters.

Design

The bulldozer is designed on the basis of tractors T-10 (T-170). In comparison with the "progenitor", the new model is more productive, which was achieved by installing more powerful diesel engines D180 or YaMZ-238. At the same time, the consumption of power plants is an order of magnitude lower than that of the prototype.

Bulldozer B-10 is assembled in two versions - with a mechanical or hydromechanical transmission. In the first case, the checkpoint is a reversible, 8-mi-band, swivel mechanism controlled by a hydro server. The hydromechanical gearbox is three-speed, represented by a planetary gear.

The running gear is represented by a three-point trolley with a sprung balancer beam. The maneuverability of the technique was achieved through the introduction of onboard friction clutches, which are in a closed state, and thanks to the use of articulated compacted tracks, a high maneuverability was achieved.

Specifications

The kind of B-10 bulldozer the technical specifications will have depends on the modification. The most common models were B-10M. Their indicators:

• Traction class - 10;
• Specific power - 180 liters. With., Or 132 kW;
• Rotation speed - 125 rpm;
• Torque ratio - 25%;
• Capacity of the fuel tank - 300 liters;
• Working speed - 10,4 km / h;
• The fluid pressure in the hydraulic system is 20 MPa.

Dimensions of standard and modified models are no different. These parameters can be studied in the diagram below.

As the engine can be used D180 and YaMZ-238. Fuel consumption for both units does not exceed 28.5 liters per hour.

Engine

Two types of engines are completed B-10 (bulldozer). Specifications of power plants are different. The most widespread are the D180 units with in-line cylinder arrangement. They are equipped with models designed on the basis of tractors T10M.0000. Startup of installations is carried out by means of an electric starter or a starting miniature engine.

The equipment, designed on the basis of tractors T10M.6000, is equipped with a 6-cylinder with a V-shaped arrangement of cylinders engine YMZ-238. Starting the power plant is carried out exclusively with the help of an electric starter. This installation is superior to the previous engine in all respects.

Design features

Bulldozer B-10 is the result of planned modernization of the T10 tractor. As a result of improving the design and introducing new structural elements, it was achieved:

• Decrease in operating pressure in the hydraulic system by 40% and increase in its durability due to the introduction of long-stroke hydraulic cylinders;
• Increasing the accuracy and speed of the blade moving, reducing the force necessary for its penetration into the ground due to the displacement of the attachment points of the hydraulic cylinders forward;
• Simplification of engine maintenance by changing the layout of the engine compartment;
• Increased productivity in the development of soil 1-3 of the group due to the introduction of the blade hemispherical shape.

Thanks to the use of the T10 as a base, it was possible to unify many parts and spare parts. Bulldozer B-10 can be equipped with various equipment, increasing its functionality and performance.

Interchangeable working and additional equipment

Depending on the purpose and intended work front, soil characteristics, the bulldozer can be equipped with a flat or hemispherical blade of different volume. A ripper with one or three teeth can also be installed.

To operate the bulldozer in harsh climatic conditions and increase its functionality, it can be equipped with various additional equipment:

• Preheating heater for operation in the northern regions and air conditioning for operation in the southern regions;
• Protective grilles to prevent damage to the windows of the cabin and injuries to the driver;
• Pendulum or rigid trailing device for moving loads.

Increase the operational characteristics of the bulldozer B-10 by installing a speed reducer or a power take-off shaft.

Modifications

Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant delivers to the market one major modification of the B-10M and several of its varieties.

The power plant has hardly changed. The main differences between the B-10M bulldozer and the basic model are:

• More powerful turbocharged engine;
• Availability of a two-stage air purification system;
• Advanced suspension with micro-suspension;
• Modernized cabin.

To work on weak soils, peat bogs and wetlands, the bulldozer B-10M (b) produces a special tracked chassis that more evenly distributes the load to the ground due to the increased distance between neighboring tracks.
