Composition of Boyko mixture, its use, indications and contraindications
Classical composition of the mixture Boyko
The most popular, "classic" composition includes the following drugs:
- 2 ml of the preparation "Analgin";
- 1-2 ml of the drug "Dimedrol";
- Vitamin B12 - 0.5-1 ml;
- 2 mg of a 2% solution of Novocain.
These medications should be diluted in physiological saline, usually take 200-400 ml, in one syringe. The route of administration is intramuscular, but intravenous injections are also possible. For a short time, the maximum allowed number of injections is 3-5, a larger number can cause a number of undesirable side effects. As we have already mentioned, the composition of the Boyko mixture may differ from the classical one, so, instead of the "Dimedrol" preparation, "Papaverin" is used, or these components are not used at all.
Apply and such ingredients, you need to mix in one syringe:
- 2 ml of the preparation "Analgin";
- 5 ml 0.5% solution of Novocain;
- 2 ml of a 1% solution of "Dimedrol";
- 1 ml of the drug "Proserin";
- 3 ml of vitamin B1.

- intercostal neuralgia;
- sciatica;
- Vertebrogenic lumbosciatica;
- Expressed pain syndromes of different etiology.
Contraindications to use in the mixture a little, they are mainly associated with the individual intolerance of the components that make up the composition, especially vitamin B12 and Novokain. With an allergy to these drugs, the composition of the Boyko mixture can be changed by eliminating them. Also, do not use a combination of these drugs in cases where you have pathologies of the hematopoiesis, severe gastrointestinal problems, severe cardiovascular diseases.
