Temirtau, the Blue Lake. Blue Lakes, Kemerovo Region, Temirtau

Have you ever been to an amazing city with a complex name for the ear of an ordinary person, Temirtau, whose Blue Lake is known to date even far beyond our country? Most likely, the answer to this question will be negative. And very much even in vain.

Many argue that such a trip at least once in your life is worth taking, once gathered and organized an excursion to Temirtau. The blue lake, amazing plant and animal life and the purest air - all this, as a rule, is to the liking of everyone, even the most capricious and experienced travelers.

Is it possible to miss such an opportunity, being, or even more so, living nearby? Of course not!

Section 1. Town and its history

Strange as it may seem, the settlement of Temirtau, the Blue Lake of which can be described with certainty as a real natural pride of our country, is far enough from the most popular tourist routes. Geographically, it is located in Tashtagolsky district in the Kemerovo region of Russia, and administratively refers to urban-type settlements.

A settlement is built 100 km from Novokuznetsk near the railway Novokuznetsk - Tashtagol. There is a station on the line Ahpun-Uchulen and a stop on the branch of Uchulen-Kashtau.

From Temirtau, bus lines run in the direction of Tashtagol, Novokuznetsk, Kaza and Mundybash.

In 2014, the city's population was about 4,100 people.

The settlement was formed in 1931 as an ore base for the construction of the Novokuznetsk Metallurgical Combine (KMK) Temirtau. The blue lake at that time had not yet enjoyed such popularity, it simply did not exist.

The bulk of the population arrived in 1931-1953. From the European part. People came here from Central Russia, from Belarus and Ukraine. Some of the residents consisted of convicts who were in the settlement. In the period from 1932 to 2001, one of the ore suppliers for KMC was the Temirtau mine. Since 1973, the movement of electric trains to Novokuznetsk began.

It should be noted that the name of the village of Temirtau is translated as an "iron mountain", it has Turkic roots - "temir" (iron) and "tau" (mountain).

Section 2. The territory of the village

It is unlikely that anyone initially really imagines where the Blue Lake (Temirtau) is located, a photo of which can often be found in well-known travel magazines or booklets devoted to our country.

The village is located a little further from the railways and is administratively divided into several districts. The central part includes the station Akhpun, a residential area, schools, hospitals and shops. To the north of the station Akhpun and south of the multi-storey houses there are residential wooden buildings and the upland part - the former zone.

At 3 km from the station Akhpun near the stop is located Kashtau, consisting of several dozen wooden houses. On the way from Temirtau to Uchulen there is the Priuchulen part of Temirtau, numbering almost a hundred houses and the church of the Holy Trinity. He is also included in Temirtau settlement.

In the vicinity of the village there are several mountain mines and workings of the breed. The town is surrounded by coniferous forests, to the south flows the Kaz river, and to the north of the village - the Telbes river.

Section 3. General description of the lake

The blue lakes (Temirtau), which are becoming more and more popular year in and year out, are in the immediate vicinity of the settlement itself.

Even the locals do not always think about how the territories appeared in the given territory, which could not have existed from the geological point of view. And the answer is quite simple: as a result of flooding the quarry.

The reservoir of round form has a diameter of about 300 meters and is located in a foundation pit with steep walls 40 meters high.

At any time of year, the Blue Lakes of Temirtau are quite picturesque and unusual. How to reach them, is well known to local residents, and they, they must say, do without any problems. But the guests of the region often just take a breath away from moving along a steep serpentine road.

By the way, there is a small equipped parking lot on the shore, which can accommodate only 35 people, so those who want to relax by family or company, on the day off, should come in advance to have time to take a more comfortable and cozy place.

Section 4. Characteristics

The depth of the reservoir in some places reaches 100 meters, the banks are stony with a lot of precipices and ledges. Visibility under water depends on the season and depth and is 15-30 meters. Water is almost always cool and does not warm above 12 degrees Celsius. There is practically no vegetation in an artificial reservoir. Incidentally, this also applies to fauna.

Divers like to gather here. Why? The thing is that these places are great for scuba diving. Descent from the road, leaving directly to the lake, forms a small creek, where you can make underwater diving.

For direct diving, you need to swim a bit straight or turn right and cross a small ledge that surrounds the road.

The depth behind the ledge is greatly increased. If you move further to the left, then, as the experienced travelers say, it increases, if to the right - it decreases.

Only the most experienced divers make dives to the center of the pit.

Section 5. The famous lake quarry

Directions to the famous Temirtau quarry, called Levoberezhnaya Sukharinka, are available for any type of transport for 7 months a year. Transparency of water depends on the season and weather conditions.

The descent into the reservoir is free, and the depth is available at a distance of 10-90 meters from the shore. At 12-meter depth there is a sunken truck GAZ, which is to some extent a tourist attraction of this quarry. Those interested can explore it and make underwater photographs.

At the Temirtau openings, Siberian freediver training sessions and freediving Federation events are held. Due to its features, the reservoir is practically the same as the sea and allows you to dive seven months a year.

The lake is closed, there is no large fish and water transport. All this makes the pond completely safe for practicing freediving.

Section 6. The camp "Blue Lakes" (Temirtau) - prices and service level

Not far from Novosibirsk in 200 meters from the Ob Sea there is a recreation center "Blue Lakes". Its name was given to the camp through water reservoirs located on its territory.

Cozy buildings and summer houses are built in a pine forest. There are separate picnic sites, gazebos, tables, a sauna and a sauna. Here you can not only spend weekends and holidays, but also celebrate a wedding celebration, corporate or family holiday. A banquet room and a conference room for business negotiations are available for rent.

In the summer for the guests there is a rental of catamarans, boats and bicycles, sports grounds are open. For children, playgrounds and quadracycles are organized. Fans of outdoor activities can perform horse or bike rides.

In winter, you can go skiing, skating, sleigh and snowmobiling, or playing hockey. Especially fun in the hostel on the days of Christmas and New Year holidays, Epiphany or Maslenitsa. There are folk festivals and entertainment.

The cost of living depends on the time of year and the level of the service provided. On the average, a day of rest on the territory of the tourist camp "Blue Lakes" (Kemerovo Region, Temirtau) will cost 1200-1600 rubles.

Section 7. Reviews of the visit to the lake

The pond is located far from the city. Here you can relax with your family or with your friends in the warm season. In the people it is called the Blue Lake of Temirtau. Photos of this place can often be found in family photo albums of local residents, although visitors from near and far abroad have also not become rare.

Vacationers like the well-being and comfort of these places - for tourists there are cozy lodges for accommodation, tables, rental of modern catamarans, a bath.

From time to time on the beach, youth discos are held. But most of all travelers are attracted by nature, the beauty of the lake, its clear water with an unusually turquoise color.
