Blagovar Duck: description of the breed

Along with the breeding of chickens, in private yards one can see another bird: geese, ducks, quails, guinea fowl. All of them are called upon to provide the population with meat, eggs, feathers, down. Blagovar's duck can not cope better with these tasks. High egg production and excellent quality of meat make it profitable for breeding on a private farmstead.

History of deducing

Breeding duck breeds are highly productive cross-country cattle, obtained by breeders in 1998 at the Blagovarsky PPP (Bashkiria). The task was to bring out not only a highly productive bird, but also possessing high immunity. Hybrid juveniles of the blagovar ducks differ markedly increased energy of growth.

Description of the bird:

• Trunk - wide, raised;
• Sternum - rounded;
• Head - small;
• Beak - red-orange;
• Neck - medium size, flexible;
• Paws - pink, short, widely set;
• Plumage - white.

A distinctive feature of the bird is its weight, which is significantly larger than that of other breeds of ducks.

Parent Lines

The Blagovar duck was bred on the basis of the gene pool of Medeo crosses. This is one of the best heavy crosses in the world. Parental lines B-1 and B-2 in themselves are distinguished by high productivity:

• B-1 is the father's line. It was created on the basis of ducks line M-1, cross "Medeo". Bird clearly expressed meat type, with a wide long body. The character is calm, balanced. Eggplant - up to 200 eggs (40 weeks) weighing 95 grams. Fertility of eggs is 89%, yield of ducklings is 70%. By seven months ducks gain weight 3.3 kg, drakes - 3.4 kg. • B-2 - the mother line. The bird is distinguished by well-defined meat forms, but they are somewhat inferior to the father's line. The bird is mobile, active, from B-1 it is distinguished by higher reproductive qualities. Eggplant can reach 240 pieces (40 weeks) with an egg mass of 90 grams. Fertility of eggs - 93%, yield of ducklings - up to 80%. Young at the age of seven months gaining weight: females - up to 3 kg, males - up to 3.2 kg. Payment for feed - 3 fodder units for each kilogram of increase in live weight.

Thanks to such properties of the original lines, the blessed duck breed perfectly combines economically useful features.

Characteristics of the breed

Blagovarsky ducks (photos see in the text) have the following characteristics:

• Egg production for 9 months - up to 240 pieces;
• Meat output: in the half-gutted form - 86.7%, in the gutted - 67.8%;
• Obesity of carcass - 38%;
• Egg weight - 90 grams;
• Safety of young animals - 98% (for the first seven months);
• Deductibility of ducks - 81%;
• The color of the egg is white;
• Weight of duck - 3.2 kg;
• Weight drake - 3.5 kg;
• Temperament - calm;
• Productivity - meat-egg;

Benefits

At the age of 42 days (6 weeks) ducklings gain weight to 3 kg. This allows you to get twice a year, or even three times full ducks for slaughtering meat. The bird is characterized by excellent meat qualities, high productivity at low feed costs. Very resistant to various diseases. A high yield of ducklings justifies the invested funds. To acquire hybrid podrochennye or daily ducklings is preferable in specialized farms - incubatory and poultry farms.

Blagovarskaya duck is perfectly adapted to the conditions of the maintenance on the garden. You can adjust almost any room under the tail. For a full-fledged maintenance, a fenced-in paddock and uninterrupted supply of drinking water (in the absence of a pond) will be required.

It is considered the most beneficial for keeping in the home. From the duck alone for the summer period, you can get more than 100 eggs without problems and grow at least 50 ducks, which in a couple of months gain weight up to 3 kg.
