Tablets "Ibuprofen" refer to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, non-narcotic analgesics. This drug has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effect.

Tablets "Ibuprofen" inhibit cyclooxygenase and block the synthesis of prostaglandins. The analgesic effect is caused by a decrease in the synthesis of bradykinin, which stimulates pain receptors. Anti-inflammatory property is due to a decrease in the intensity of manifestations of inflammation, improvement of microcirculation, normalization of vascular permeability, antipyretic - a decrease in the excitability of the centers-thermoregulators of the intermediate brain. The severity of the latter effect depends directly on the dose of the drug and the initial temperature. Tablets "Ibuprofen" reversibly inhibit the aggregation of platelets.

The use of this drug in primary dysmenorrhea causes a decrease in intrauterine pressure and the frequency of uterine contractions.

Tablets "Ibuprofen" with rheumatoid arthritis predominantly affect the exudative and proliferative phase of the inflammatory process, providing analgesic effect, rapidly reducing swelling of the tissues and joint stiffness.

Quickly and completely absorbed "Ibuprofen" from the digestive tract. Within an hour, the maximum concentration is created in the blood. The cavity of the joint penetrates rather slowly, however it is retained here in significant amounts, creating concentrations greater than in the plasma. The drug is disposed of in the liver, the products are excreted completely in the urine.

With rheumatoid arthritis, deforming osteoarthritis, articular syndrome with exacerbation of gout, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis; Neuralgia, tendovaginitis, bursitis, radiculitis, traumatic inflammation of the soft tissues and the musculoskeletal system, as an auxiliary for diseases of the ENT organs, primary dysmenorrhea, adnexitis, toothache - for all these states, the use of the Ibuprofen tablet is indicated.

Instruction for use recommends that this drug should be prescribed to adults 3-4 times a day in a dose of 0.2 g. The first dose should be taken before meals, washed down with water for the fastest absorption of the drug. The remaining doses should be taken after meals, so that "Ibuprofen" is gradually absorbed.

The drug of this group can cause the following side effects: nausea, heartburn, dizziness, flatulence, toxic amblyopia, allergic reactions, disruption of normal functioning of the kidneys, insomnia, agitation. Sometimes ulcerative lesions of the digestive tract are possible. In the presence of severe side effects, it is necessary to stop taking this medication immediately and seek medical help from a doctor.

When using "Ibuprofen" is not recommended the use of alcoholic beverages.

The use of this drug is contraindicated in:

Hypersensitivity to aspirin;

- bronchial asthma, provoked by taking aspirin;

- exacerbations of stomach or duodenal ulcers;

- thrombocytopenia, amblyopia, hemorrhagic diathesis ;

- nonspecific ulcerative colitis ;

- portal hypertension;

- the last trimester of pregnancy;

- Lactation.

With the simultaneous administration of "Ibuprofen" with ACE inhibitors, reduces their antihypertensive activity (with furosemide and hypothiazide reduces their natriuretic activity). The toxicity of lithium and methotrexate drugs is increasing. Caffeine enhances the analgesic effect of ibuprofen. Increases the digoxin content in plasma.
