The appearance of symptoms of this disease is associated with a violation of thyroid hormone production, first to a large side, in comparison with the norm, which was called thyrotoxicosis, and then to a smaller one - hypothyroidism. Thyrotoxicosis and hypothyroidism are characterized by different signs. In the first case, the patient has excessive irritability, mood swings, problems with the work of the cardiovascular system, increased hair loss, decreased body weight, problems with the reproductive system. Such concepts as "autoimmune thyroiditis and pregnancy" are almost incompatible and require special monitoring of the future mother.
