Despite the name, the daylilies do not belong to the same species of plants as the traditional lilies. The place for this plant is best picked up by well-lit. Even a weak shadow can interfere with the normal maturation of the buds. Also it is necessary to neglect excessively damp places, in which water can stagnate, for example, after a rain or plentiful watering - daylilies can weaken and lose healthy roots. This plant prefers a loose, well-fertilized composted soil, and each hole must necessarily be drained.

It is worth taking care of the "neighbors" of tasty smelling bushes - you can not plant this flower near the apple trees, as they take a lot of nutrients from the surrounding soil. In this case, the foliage will be juicy and fluffy, but the arrow with the buds can not wait. Another reason why the daylilies do not bloom may be the wrong depth of planting. The root collar should never be buried more than 2-3 cm. Otherwise, the plant will never give a single flowering branch.

Too overgrown bushes and late autumn planting can also be the reason why the daylilies do not bloom. This can happen due to the freezing of roots or stems, "winter" diseases or the need for a long recovery after hypothermia.
