"White filling": apples that have become a legend

Domestic breeders have achieved in the breeding of new varieties of unprecedented heights. This is especially noticeable when you look at the number of apple and other fruit tree species created by them.

Take the same "white filling": these apples are so good that they prefer to use the most advanced culinary specialists for making their food masterpieces. What else is characteristic of a given variety? Let's figure it out!

Appearance of apple trees is quite typical: the tree reaches a height of five meters, the crown has a rounded shape. Unlike many varieties that are common in our country, fruits begin to be produced in the third or fifth year after planting or inoculation. Note that the tree is specifically designed to grow in the middle belt. The first mention of it appeared a hundred years ago.

This is an early grade! Despite the precocity, abundant fruiting and other virtues with which the "white pouring" is famous, apples should be used for a maximum of ten days after the removal. Otherwise, they practically lose taste and smell, and the pulp becomes loose and crumbly.

Thus, if you do not have the desire or the opportunity immediately after the ripening of fruits to engage in mass processing, it is highly advisable not to take the whole garden under the "white pouring". These apples are good, but only for early consumption in fresh form or for immediate processing (especially for juices).

The weight of one fruit reaches 200 g. The pulp has a pleasant sweet and sour taste, which is refreshingly refreshing in the summer heat. By the way, you can start shooting them in August. And here there is one nuance. The fact is that the variety is difficult to attribute to industrial, and therefore the ripening of fruits is extremely uneven. We have to shoot them at once in a few visits.

Signs of full maturation are extremely easy to identify. Do you think, why did the variety get such an unusual name? The fact is that completely "ready" apples of "white filling" get almost a snow-white color. Against the background of other greenish-yellowish "relatives" they are perfectly visible.

Despite some "short-lived" apples, the apple trees of this variety are well tolerated even by very cold winters. But here you need to keep in mind that for some unknown reason their bark is especially attractive for hares and mice, and therefore whitewash should be especially careful.

Note that the trees of the "white filling" type, apples of which are so good, are very demanding for growing conditions. They prefer light fertile soils, and the place for planting should be drained very qualitatively.

If the last rule is not fulfilled and the groundwater is close to the ground, the fruit tree of this species will quickly die.

And one more important feature, which is often completely forgotten (and often simply do not know) beginner gardeners: a variety of apples "white filling" is self-fruit! Simply put, if you plant two such apple trees next to each other and provide them with a dozen hives for pollination, they can not give any harvest.

Proceeding from this, this variety must be grown next to other cultivated apple trees.
