In the summer season, diligent housewives are trying to replenish the reserves of sunsets. And especially enthusiastic yet and are looking for new recipes to diversify the menu in the cold season with new combinations of tastes of the vegetables we are accustomed to. And in fact, what else will remind you of summer, if not a jar of fragrant marinated or pickled tomatoes, cucumbers or sweet pepper? Is that their combination in one dish. For winter, it is stored, it is the most trustworthy tool that can raise the mood at dinner, remember the sunny summer and replenish the vitamin supply in the body. Let's prepare it and we.

What is included in the composition of such a dish, as a salad "Danube"? The recipe for this snack is simple, and its main ingredients are very healthy foods: tomatoes, carrots, onions, sweet peppers. They are the traditional components of the Moldovan, Ukrainian, Hungarian cuisines - that is, those countries in which the Danube carries its waters. Hence the name of the dish, so poetic and beautiful.

So, what is needed to prepare a salad "Danube" for the winter? Take the products based on 10 liters of ready-made snacks. We need:

  • Sweet pepper (paprika, or gogoshara, as it is called in Moldova) - 5 kilograms;
  • Green and brown tomatoes - 2 kilograms;
  • Carrots - 2 kilograms;
  • Onions (preferably sweet) - 1 kilogram;
  • Common salt;
  • Vinegar - 700 milliliters;
  • Sunflower oil - 600 milliliters;
  • Sweet pepper, cloves, bay leaf.

The first thing we do when we start to harvest the salad "Danube" for the winter - mine and dry vegetables. Tomatoes should be cut into pieces. Depending on their size, 6 or 8 of each tomato can turn out. Pepper should be cleaned of seeds and stems, cut into strips 2 centimeters wide. Peel the onion from the peel, chop the rings. If it is bitter, you can scald it with boiling water.

Carrots on the salad "Danube" canned should not only be cleaned and cut, but also to try - that is, put it into boiling water for a couple of minutes, pull it out and then cool it. All prepared vegetables should be placed in a large container, add 200 grams of table salt and mix. And then let the assorted stand for twenty minutes. During this time, tomatoes, peppers and onions will be given juice. After that, the released liquid should be drained, and in the vegetables add oil and vinegar.

It is worth preparing banks in advance. They must be washed with soda, and then sterilized over the steam. At the bottom fit spices: a sheet of bay leaves, a couple of peas of sweet pepper, a few inflorescences of cloves. In each jar, the salad is densely rammed up to the top. After that, they should be sterilized for a minimum of half an hour for half liters, or 35 minutes for liter containers. Then each of them must be covered with a lid and rolled up with a special key, if the lids are tin, or simply close tightly - for lacquered.

As you can see, there is nothing difficult to prepare this salad. But in the end you get a tasty and healthy dish. So dare, prepare a salad "Danube" for the winter and enjoy its magnificent, summer aroma.
