The neurosis of compulsive states: how to understand if you or your friends are susceptible to this disorder?

Sometimes in a person's life comes a time when you start to think about your mental health. Neurosis, as one of the diseases (disorders) of the psyche, is the most common among the Russian population.

Symptoms

It manifests itself in different ways, but more often than not, specialists observe their "obsessive-compulsive disorder" in their patients, when a person performs some actions to calm down, constantly repeating them, especially in troubling situations. These can be perfectly normal actions, such as going home to check whether the iron is pulled from the outlet, pushing the entrance door (repeated) to make sure it is really closed.

Do not make hasty conclusions: if you do such actions - this is not always a sign of mental disorder. In order to diagnose you as a "compulsive disorder neurosis", you should have other signs of this disorder: fears, bright disturbing images, memories, constant doubts, peculiar drives. And the repeated domestic actions in this case must be of a permanent nature (repeated testing for a short time, accompanied by appropriate thoughts during the day).

Actions can be and not so ordinary character: many tease hair, some are swinging on a chair, and someone gnaws nails. Less often: people lick their lips, stretch their necks, make faces of the same type, often wash their hands (carefully and "by all means"), and so on. Sometimes the neurosis of obsessive states is manifested in the mental functions of the organism (the most complex forms of the disorder):

- a person keeps an account for something (fence posts and stuff - everything that comes to his eyes);

- internal dialogue, the main idea in which is intrusive by definition, i.e. Repeating, not leaving, but at the same time senseless (or not having a basis). For example, fear of disaster, fear for the lives of loved ones. This form of disorder experts call "neurosis obsessive thoughts."

Causes

The main cause of the disease is called a psychological trauma - this is an event in the life of a person, with the consequences of which it was difficult for him to reconcile due to the importance of this event. Mental trauma can cause force majeure, participation in natural disasters, crashes, accidents, as well as the death of the closest person with whom the patient was in close contact (right up to psychological dependence).

Risk group

The most susceptible to neurosis are people with a genetic predisposition to this disease, as well as sensitive people: with a sharp sense of conscience, with self-doubt, increased anxiety in various life situations, suspiciousness. These are people for whom the opinion of others is more important than one's own, and the events taking place in life are taken quite "to heart", even the most petty ones, which others would not have paid attention to.

The rescue

Of course, the intervention of a competent, experienced specialist is necessary when the "obsessive-compulsive disorder" is diagnosed. Treatment can take years, and you need to be ready for this. Seeking a psychotherapist, a psychiatrist is better at an early stage. Do not try to cope with obtrusiveness on your own - this is one of the signs of a disease that has the property of aggravating and thereby ruining the life of the person and his environment. Complex treatment (medications and psychotherapy), timely treatment can speed up the process and save, finally, from constant psychological discomfort.

The obsessive-compulsive disorder is quite common, if you are at risk and have observed the listed symptoms, consult a therapist - this specialist will help diagnose the disorder, if it exists, and cope with it.
