Vertuta with apples: cooking recipes, varieties of fillings

The subject of our today's article is a vertuta with apples. What it represents, you are happy to explain in detail and even show the Moldovan mistresses, especially the residents of the countryside. After all, it was the villages that preserved the art of preparing national dishes in their primordial nature. The same hominy, without which there once was not a single meal, little in the cities. Yes, and baking, too, not particularly bother yourself, especially with store abundance. And only in the village you can be offered a real revolver with apples or pumpkin, brynza or potatoes, taken out of the oven, cooked by all the rules, with observance of the necessary "technical" subtleties.

Moldavian revolutions are prepared from a special test, which rolls out, or rather stretches thinly, thinly, like a cigarette paper. Inside the layer, the filling is put, then it is rolled up with rolls - hence the name of the baking "vertuta". With apples, nuts, jam, i.e. sweet minced meat, they are served as a dessert, often powdered with powdered sugar. And with a more satisfying filling go as an independent dish or to soups, zamam, borshch - instead of bread. As a rule, a lot of eggs are put in the dough and vegetable oil is added. Therefore, the vertuta with apples and other minced meat is not so much baked as it is roasted, which makes it especially tasty.

Vertuets on kefir

The recipe of this batch is very inexpensive, it is available to almost every family, and the result will please all lovers of dough products. You will need half a liter of kefir, 2 eggs, a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of sugar and so much flour to knead an elastic, not very steep dough. Roll it into a bowl, cover with a napkin and give half an hour to "rest", to distance. In the meantime, tackle the filling.

To make your turntail with apples tastier, the recipe (photo attached) suggests adding to apples, which should be cut into small cubes, a little cinnamon, and for an appetizing smell - vanilla. When the dough has come, cut off small slices from it, roll it into flat cakes and, pouring flour, first roll it out with a rolling pin, and then stretch it evenly into rounded thin layers. Each such sheet, from which the vertuta with apples is baked, prescribes that the prescription must be sprinkled with sunflower oil. Then evenly distribute the filling, sprinkling it with sugar, fold the layers, pinch the edges at both ends. Top again with oil. The bowl is also well-oiled, spread out on top of it, place in a heated oven and bake until cooked at a temperature of 190-200 degrees for about 20 minutes. When the baking is cooled, sprinkle the products with powdered sugar.

Special Verticals

Very delicious turns vertuta with apples from puff pastry. Of course, it takes a little more time to cook it than to bake the previous recipe. But your efforts will pay off, you'll see! You will need 500 grams of sifted flour, a glass of water, a little salt. Knead the dough, roll into a bowl, let it brew. Then roll it into a flat cake. Inside, put a piece of butter, fold the envelope, roll it out again. Wrap the dough in a bag, put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Then repeat the operation twice more. In total you have to roll in 100 g of oil. After the last storage in the refrigerator, the dough is ready for work. Roll out or stretch thin layers, put stuffing, fold. Whisk the egg with sugar and spread on the oiled baking sheet drill also lubricate with this mixture. Bake them until ready. Make a lemon glaze: take 100 g of powdered sugar, a tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and as much hot water. Add liquid components to the powder, pound thoroughly until a uniform mass is obtained. Cover it with revolutions.

A few words about the filling

And now a few words about what you can put in the vertuta, except for apples. First, the apple-curd mass. Cottage cheese rub through a sieve or double pass through a meat grinder. Add the egg, vanilla sugar and the usual, well rub it. Mix with crushed apples.

Apple-carrot filling can be used. Grate carrot, add apple, salt, salve in vegetable oil with a little water.
