Crab sticks are a popular and inexpensive product that is widely used in cooking. Of course, there are no crabs in this ready-to-eat product. The basis for the preparation of crab sticks is minced meat, which is made from fish of the cod family and is called "surimi".

Many believe that crab sticks are suitable only for making a widely known salad. In fact, you can cook a variety of dishes from crab sticks, from snacks to baking. It should be noted that snack dishes from crab sticks are very diverse. In addition to the classic recipe for salad with rice and corn, there are hundreds more. Crab sticks are perfectly combined with fresh and pickled vegetables, boiled eggs and seafood. So you can come up with a huge number of different options.

But salads are not the only way to use crab sticks when preparing snack foods. It is possible, for example, to prepare from them rolls with various fillings. To do this, you need to unfreeze the crab sticks and carefully deploy them to form a layer. For each unfolded stick, the filling is laid out, and it again folds into a roll. As a filling, you can use different products. For example, grated cheese with garlic and mayonnaise. Ready-made rolls should be cut into smaller pieces to have them was more convenient.

Dishes from crab sticks include hot snacks. The simplest option - sticks, sliced and fried with onions. In addition, fillings with the addition of crab sticks are suitable for preparation of stuffed pancakes or lavash rolls. You can stuff crab sticks and champignon hats with the subsequent baking in the oven.

You can cook even the first dishes of crab sticks. For example, they can quickly cook a delicious soup. To do this, put on the fire a saucepan, which poured 2.5 liters of water. While the water boils, we clean vegetables - 2-3 potatoes, carrots and onions. Potatoes and about a handful of vermicelli or rice we put in boiling and salted water, and sliced carrots and onions wesser on vegetable oil. If desired, you can add Bulgarian pepper to the roast. In the meantime, we rub a couple of melted cheeses on a grater. Crab sticks (6-7 pieces) are cut with "wheels" or unfolded and cut into "noodles". To the finished potato and vermicelli add the roast, then pour the cheese, stirring to dissolve, and put the crab sticks. Season the soup to taste and turn it off. Let it stay with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

On the second you can fry the cutlets, but not from minced meat, but from crab sticks. The recipe for cutlets from crab sticks is quite simple. On a 200-gram package of sticks, we need a pair of eggs, about 150 grams of cheese and a slice of garlic. Crab sticks to grind in a blender or grate on a grater, add to them eggs, grated cheese and finely chopped garlic. Knead the minced meat and make small cutlets out of it. Strain in flour and fry in oil. To eat such cutlets is better in a hot kind.

It remains to cook some cakes with crab sticks, for example, pizza. Here is the simplest recipe for pizza with crab sticks. To make a dough, you need a glass of water (warm), a bag of yeast (11 grams), a tablespoon of sugar, a little salt, a tablespoon of butter (ideally olive, but you can also sunflower) and about 350 grams of flour. The dough is prepared in a free-form way. Yeast diluted in water with sugar and give them a little lift. In the meantime, sift flour, pour into the bowl a slide and make a groove in the center. Pour in the oil, add the yeast and a pinch of salt. Knead the dough and let it go for about thirty minutes.

To make a filling, mix 60 grams of mayonnaise with a raw egg and finely chopped dill. Cut the onions into thin half-rings, and grate cheese (about 100 grams). Pack a crab stick (200 grams) cut into random pieces, preferably finely. On the rolled dough spread the mayonnaise sauce, on top spread the onions and crab sticks, sprinkle with cheese and bake.
