The Strudel Recipe. Meat or Sweet - Choose!

What is strudel? This is a dessert, which is prepared on the basis of puff pastry. It can be meat, and maybe sweet. Learning to cook it is not difficult, and the cost of products is small. One of the strudel's recipes can be varied according to one's own mood, changing the filling in it from berry to fruit or even meat. How to cook strudel? It can be done in different ways. Choose a recipe that will be more to your liking.

The recipe for strudel with meat

Ingredients: 450 gr of flour, a glass of yogurt, 2 eggs, soda for food - chayn. Spoon, 5 potatoes, 2 onions, 500 g minced meat, a pinch of black pepper, salt.

In kefir, add soda and mix thoroughly. Then beat the whisk of eggs and add to kefir. Sour and gradually pour the flour until the test.

From the dough we form a ball, which we cover with a linen towel and put it for an hour in a warm place.

Mince pepper, salt and mix thoroughly. When the dough for the strudel is ready, roll it out with a rolling pin and lay out the minced meat on the resulting cake. Then forcemeat wrap into a roll and cut into pieces, the thickness of which should be about 3 cm. We let them lie back for 15 minutes.

Pour into the saucepan vegetable oil, put the finely chopped onions and fry it until light golden color. Add the potato cut into cups, salt and pour the water so that it covers 1/3 of the potatoes. Close the stewpan lid and bring to a boil. After that, we spread the strudels on the potatoes and reduce the heat. The sauté pan is again covered with a lid and left on fire for another 50 minutes.

The recipe for strudel with apples

  Ingredients: 3 apples, puff pastry, sugar and ground cinnamon.

Cooking method:

We peel apples from seeds and cut into strips. Puff pastry roll with a rolling pin and put there the chopped apples. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and sugar.

The dough is wrapped with rolls, laid out on a baking sheet and baked in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes until cooked.

The recipe for strudel with nuts

Ingredinety: sweet dough - 450 gr, granulated sugar - 3 table. Spoons, crackers ground - a glass, raisins -3/4 cups, apples - 5 pieces, egg, ground nuts (almonds) - half cup, sugar. Powder - 2 table. Spoons, cinnamon - a floor of cajuns. Spoons, lemon peel - a table. Spoon, butter.

Cooking method:

The dough is divided into two parts and rolled out with a rolling pin. The size of one cake should be about 30x15 cm, and another slightly larger. We cut into small straws or we rub apples on a grater. After that, mix them with cinnamon, sugar, ground crackers, raisins, nuts and zest. The resulting filling is laid out on a smaller cake and covered on top of the other. We beat the egg, grease the edges of the cakes and clamp them. We make the cuts on the knife and lubricate the beaten egg. We place it in the oven and bake at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.

The recipe for strudel with dried fruits

  Ingredients: 150 grams of puff pastry (buy ready-made), 150 grams of dried fruits and nuts to taste, one pear, 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons of milk, 50 grams of biscuits (dry), 2 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar , 50 grams of chocolate chips, a teaspoon of chopped lemon zest, 2 tablespoons of orange juice.

Nuts with dried fruits should be ground with a blender not to a powder, but to medium pieces. To this mixture add shortbread (previously crumbled), a little butter, chocolate crumbs, cubes of chopped pear. Then add the lemon zest and orange juice, mix everything until the ingredients are evenly distributed in the total mass.

Place the dough on the table, put the prepared filling on top of it, leaving the indentation at the edges. Dampen the edges with water and wrap the dough in a roll, cover the ends. Put the strudel on a baking sheet, smeared with butter and covered with parchment paper.

Before baking, rub the surface of the strudel with milk. Put in the oven, heated to 200 degrees, for 10 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and cook for another 20 minutes. Finished strudel sprinkle with powdered sugar and decorate with nuts.
