Many consumers are well aware of the preparation of the sulfanilamide group "Ftalazol", which has antibacterial properties and is often prescribed by doctors for digestive disorders. It has a fairly narrow pharmacological focus - the restoration of intestinal microflora.

In tissues, the active ingredient does not accumulate even with prolonged use of the "Ftalazol" tablets, so there is no addiction or a loss of efficacy in their repeated use.

Specialists use this drug in the presence of a bacterial infection that affects the intestinal mucosa (usually they are all accompanied by diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence). No less effective is the drug and food poisoning (in particular, in the treatment of food toxic infections).

When are "Ftalazol" tablets prescribed?

What helps the described tool, probably, is not a secret for anybody. The medicine perfectly copes with diarrhea of any origin, stopping it quickly. And this allows the patient's body to retain fluid and prevent dehydration.

Doctors also recommend the drug "Ftalazol" for manifestations of dysbacteriosis caused by the use of antibiotics. By the way, this tool is shown even to children: it restores the balance of the intestinal microflora and may additionally have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Mode of application

Tablets are taken before meals (usually in thirty minutes or an hour). They should be washed down with water or a liquid that has an alkaline reaction (for this, a solution of drinking soda is prepared at the rate of 2.5 g of substance per glass of water).

Please note that when the drug is treated, it is necessary to increase the amount of liquid consumed to three liters per day!

Contraindications

The drug "Ftalazol", like other medical products, has contraindications.

  • So, it should not be used in disorders that are based on a fungal infection. From the use of this drug, the condition of the patient can greatly deteriorate.
  • This medicine is not prescribed for diagnosed blood diseases and violation of its coagulation.
  • The presence of acute hepatitis and renal failure also serves as a contraindication to the appointment of a medication.
  • It should be abandoned the use of the drug in hypersensitivity to its constituent components.

Adverse Reactions

All known side effects are associated with the individual intolerance of the drug "Ftalazol", because of which the patient may experience allergic reactions in the form of rash, hives and fever. With prolonged use, manifestations of dysbacteriosis, hypovitaminosis, difficulty in defecation and pain in the intestine are also possible.
