Stone shell rock

Shell rock is a natural material, which is attributed to building materials. Rakushechnik, in another way they call it "rakushnyak", is a sedimentary rock, which mostly consists of fragments of shells of marine inhabitants. This material is of organic origin, it was formed over many years.

The material is easy to saw, and also not laborious in processing. It is widely used in the construction of walls of buildings, in the form of facing material. The crushed version of the stone is well suited for filling concrete, as well as other building mixes. Rakushnyak can serve as a raw material, which is necessary for the production of lime, or other binding materials.

Shell rock is mainly mined in the southern regions of Ukraine, but the main extraction of quality stone is carried out in the Saki region, Crimea. Depending on the strength, in the Crimean quarries produce shellfish of brands M35, M25, M15.

Shell rock has perfectly proved itself in the form of wall and finishing material, thanks to its unique properties, which include:

  • Natural, environmentally friendly, natural building material.
  • The material has a rather small weight of 700-1800kg / m3, due to this, the material has been widely used in regions where high seismicity is observed, as the weight of the building decreases and the effect of seismic activity leads to its greater stability. On the southern coast of the Crimea is widely distributed frame-stone reinforced concrete construction of multi-storey public and residential buildings in which when filling walls, partitions use the Crimean shell.
  • Easy to handle, which allows the architects to open a wide range of applications, as well as the implementation of a variety of fantastic, bold architectural solutions.
  • Porosity, thanks to it in buildings and houses made of stone provides sound and heat insulation, so there is savings on thermal insulation materials.
  • It should be taken into account that the stone has a porous decorative structure, pleasant to the eye, a certain pastel color that contributes to the creation of original design and interior solutions inside the house, or the facade, without any additional investment in the finish.

M15 - is a brand of rock of a shellfish, which has a relatively small density, high porosity, strength. The characteristic color, as a rule, is light yellow, the popular name is yellow. With a serious fall, or a blow, it breaks up into three or more parts. It is used for the construction of fences, houses, one-story buildings.

M25 - is a brand of shellfish, which has a greater density, less porosity, strength, compared to the same brand M15. For this brand is characteristic color - light yellow. During a significant fall, it breaks up, as a rule, into two thickets, but it happens to be three. In construction, this brand is the most in demand, it is used in the construction of single-storey, two-storey and many- storey houses , also when laying partitions, walls, in monolithic frame construction of multi-storey buildings: five, seven, and nine or more floors.

M35 - is a brand of shellfish, which has the highest density, strength, lower porosity, when compared with the brand M15, and M25. This brand is characterized by color - yellow-white. The popular name of it - the cap. With a fairly significant fall, as a rule, remains intact and does not break up into parts. A fairly heavy stone. In the process of construction it is used for the installation of socles, foundations, cellar walls, and first floors.
