Sea trading Ilyichevsk port

The state enterprise "Illichevsk Commercial Sea Port" is an international modern universal highly mechanized transport hub. IMTP specializes in reloading general (containers, rolled metal) and bulk (bulk, bulk, bulk) cargo from sea vessels to land transport types, and vice versa.

General characteristics

Ilyichevsk port has the following characteristics:

Infrastructure

IMTP is one of the largest Black Sea ports, it is located to the south of Odessa. The farm has an extensive berthing base: the length of the berthing front is 5253.6 m, the depth at the berths is 7.5-13.5 m. In 2015, on the territory of the complex, in addition to the state operator of the State Enterprise "Illichevsk Commercial Sea Port," four private port operators also operate:

IMTP has developed infrastructure, energy supply system, convenient marine approaches and can receive ships with draft up to 13 m, carrying capacity of 100 000 and more tons.

Berths

The port has 27 berths (24 - cargo, 3 - auxiliary, two of them - specialized berths of the port fleet) of different year of construction and construction. They provide year-round round the clock handling of goods of different nomenclature.

  • The longest is berth No. 1 (306.45 m). Only a little (300 m) is inferior to berth No. 2.
  • The deepest ones are berths No. 3, 4 (13.5 m). Slightly less depth (13 m) at the berths No. 1, 5, 6.
  • Berths No. 3-6 form the largest area of open storage areas - 127,000 m 2 .
  • Between berths No. 16 and No. 17 there is the most capacious indoor storage for cereals - 190 m 3 .

The transshipment equipment park of the State Enterprise "Illichevsk Sea Port" has a rather significant amount of technological equipment for loading and unloading operations. Most portal cranes are used with a time load of 25-75% - depending on the type of cargo. The age of the "Condor" and "Sokol" cranes is 20-25 years, and the type "Albatros" is 45-47 years old. Gantz, Ceretti-Tanfani, Albrecht portal cranes and bridge overloaders exceeded their service life by more than 2 times, as a result of which most of them are decommissioned and are preparing for cancellation.

Container handling equipment

Ilyichevsk port has an impressive fleet of intra-port mechanization. These are forklifts with lifting capacity from 1 to 37 tons, port tractors with semi-trailers with carrying capacity up to 60 tons, specialized auto-container carriers and autoloaders for loading / unloading containers. The level of use of intra-port mechanization machines is quite high, especially those used at the container terminal.

Movement order

The entrance / exit of ships from the port, the swimming and towing of ships, parking in the port, in the roadstead, at the berths is regulated by the "Mandatory Regulations for the IMTP" and "Code of Rules of the IMTP". The approach of vessels to the port of Ilyichev is carried out from a circular motion system according to the existing system of separation of traffic to a light buoy, the Illichivsk approach axial, and then along the maritime approach channel to the water area of the First Port Basin. Now the maritime approach channel, which leads to the First basin, has a length of 1600 m, a width of 150 m and a depth of 14.5 m.

The transfer of ships from the First Basin to the Second is carried out by the East Passage at Dambovy Island and the Western Passage between Dambovy Island and Berth No. 19. The speed of navigation along the sea channel is limited to six knots, and in the port water area - five knots. The speed increase is allowed only to prevent emergency situations, which must be reported to the Motion Control Station.

There is also a traffic management service. The post determines the order and sequence of traffic of vessels in the water area, on the sea channel and on the site in the control zone. The order of the Post on the order of entry / exit of ships, anchoring, changing anchorage, stopping traffic is mandatory for each ship. Actions of all services are supervised by the chief of the port of Illichivsk.

The water area

It consists of an external raid and an internal water area, including three basins. The total area of the port water area is 11,990.85 hectares, including:

  • Internal - 417.69 hectares;
  • External raid - 11 535 hectares.

In the outer zone is located the anchorage area.

Depths in the inner water area are 10-14.5 m, and in the anchorage area in the outer roads - 17-23 m. There is a raid parking of two mooring barrels for processing vessels with a total length of 280 m, a width of 80 m and a draft of 13.5 m .

Railroad entrances

The Ilyichevsk commercial port is served by two railway stations "Illichivsk-Port" and "Ilyichevsk-Ferry" with the corresponding railway park (receiving, departure and exhibition). They are connected to the port by five railway entrances. The Odessa railway for the IMTP can provide up to 1960 wagons per day:

  • Three entrances to the southern part of the port (berths No. 1-24) are served by the Ilyichevsk-Port station. Carriage - 1620 cars per day.
  • Two entrances to the northern part of the port (berths No. 26-27) are served by the station "Illichevsk-Ferry", wagon turnover - 340 wagons per day.

Automotive entrances

The port of Illichivsk has 6 automobile entrances: three in the southern part and three in the northern one. However, their capacity is limited and limited by the access road infrastructure of the city of Ilyichevsk.

Directions of development of SE "IMTP"

The priority areas of the Plan include:

  • Increase in turnover.
  • The transfer of port infrastructure facilities to the management of private stevedoring companies on the basis of the mechanism of public-private partnership.
  • Increase and stability of the financial result of the enterprise.
  • Attraction of investments (contracts of concessions, rent).

Financial activities

The dynamics of availability and use of the economic potential of SE "IMTP" implies a steady increase in the efficiency of the enterprise. Net income in 2014 amounted to 769 million hryvnia. In 2015, the administration plans to double this figure to 1,630 million. Net profit from 117 million hryvnia (2014) will increase (according to plans) to 480-490 million (2015). Further increase in income should be by 2018, 1638 million hryvnia.
