Russian Historical Society and its role in the life of the country

In 1907, at the time of the Russian Empire, there was the Imperial Russian Military Historical Society. Managed the organization in those years himself Nicholas II. What is the Russian Historical Society?

The Russian Historical Society is a public-state association that was founded voluntarily. The main tasks of the community are to study the military history of Russia. It also regulates issues related to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.

The executive director of the company is Andrei Nazarov. The Russian Historical Society is widely represented in the open spaces of the state. It has 58 regional offices in 58 different regions of Russia.

RIO Charter

Expenses for the work of RIO

At the disposal of the Russian Historical Society - more than 50 offices throughout Russia. About 40 people work in each of them. The most active branch is Kirovskoe under the command of local deputy Nikita Belykh. The Ministry of Culture of Russia is looking for a room for the work of the society.

To work such a large-scale federal project requires huge amounts of money. For example, in 2015 the Ministry of Culture allocated RVIO about 330 million rubles for work, and in 2014 - 290 million rubles. Part of this money, and specifically almost 50 million rubles, is spent on administrative expenses. The rest of the money society spends on many activities, such as the restoration of monuments of the Great Patriotic War, mass graves, filming films, writing books and songs. Also periodically, groups of RVIO researchers go to various archaeological excavations. All this requires a lot of effort and money. Support of the Ministry of Culture and Defense of the Russian Federation

The work of the RIOO and the Ministry of Culture and Defense of Russia are closely interrelated. To date, the society has created about 20 children's camps with a military history. RVIO is engaged in the creation of monuments to the heroes of military operations. Among them are the monument to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, the monument to the front dog, the monument erected by the murdered Russian POW in Gagarin, a monument to the heroes of the First World War and many others.

Unified textbook

President Vladimir Putin commissioned a historical society to create a single textbook on the history of Russia for all schools in the country, or rather for secondary schools. The main idea of new textbooks is to write a simple and understandable story without unnecessary doubtful facts and without distorting it. A number of the oldest historical and military societies will also join the RVIO.

It is worth noting that the Russian historical society is doing a tremendous job. RIO contributes to the fact that the whole of Russia remembers its heroes from different eras and does not forget the martyrs of those hard times for the country. It promotes military service among the youth, which is one of the important factors in the army system. It is not surprising that the state allocates such huge sums for the work of the RVIO.
