Procrastination - The Problem of the Century

Procrastination (English Procrastination , procrastinatus: proc (instead, in front) and crastinus (tomorrow's)) is a concept in psychology, indicating a tendency to constant "postponement" of unpleasant thoughts and deeds (the term from Wikipedia).

Procrastination can cause stress, depression, omission of opportunities and time. A person who does not fulfill his intended tasks begins to feel guilty, may lose faith in his own strength, depression is such a person's psychology.

Each person justifies his postponement for later in his own way. The main reason for procrastination is, of course, a lack of desire, fueled by laziness and weak willpower or lack of will.

Lack of interest in the work done, inability of a person to prioritize - all this also has an influential impact on procrastinatorship.

Psychology is studying this phenomenon and is looking for ways to overcome it. Psychologists recommend: First of all, to cope with the problem, you first need to understand it, understand that it really exists and needs to be overcome. Further - it is easier, now the main thing is the desire to overcome the problem. We need to change our attitude to important matters. Even if these cases are complicated and at first sight impossible, the main thing is to be confident in your abilities.

If there are tasks that are postponed persistently and continuously, then in order to get rid of procrastination, it is necessary to realize that it is unpleasant and impossible to do in these matters. Perhaps, having realized the reason, you can easily get rid of the existing problem. In any case, one should consider unpleasant deeds deeper and analyze them.

During the time that people spend on procrastination (postponement for later), it was most likely possible to explore the entire cosmos and build a civilization of the future, where carefree, well-off people who do not know wars and violence, which is paradoxical, would necessarily return to procrastination.
