Onion pie

If you want to make something new (something that you have never served), try making onion cake. Its unusual taste will be appreciated by your guests, and it will look great on your table. Ingredients for pie can be used a wide variety, so these recipes can be easily improved.

Onion pie on margarine

Ingredients: half a glass of flour, 135 g of margarine, soda - at the tip of the knife, 70 g of sour cream, salt, 3 eggs, pepper, 2 curd cheese, 4 onions.

Cooking method:

Margarine cut into small pieces, and then mixed with flour, sour cream, salt and soda, kneading the dough in this way. For an hour put it in the refrigerator.

Onion pie on milk

Ingredients: 450 ml of milk, 90 g of sour cream, salt, 2 eggs, a packet of cream margarine, half-a-teaspoonful of soda vinegar, pepper, 2 onions, half cabbage, 230 grams of cheese.

Cooking method:

Add sour cream, salt, margarine cream, vinegar, soda, a little water and knead the dough into sifted flour. Then wrap it in film and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Cut the onion into half rings and fry in a frying pan on cream margarine. Shred cabbage and add it to the fried onions. When the cabbage becomes soft, salt it, add grated cheese, pepper, and drive in raw eggs. One protein needs to be left in order to then lubricate the pie.

Roll the dough with a rolling pin and cut into two unequal parts. Cover the baking sheet with parchment and lay on it most of the dough, bending the edges up. Uniformly spread out the filling, and then cover it with the top of the second part of the dough, connecting the edges of the upper and lower layers. Puncture the pie with a knife in several places and grease with whipped protein. Put in the oven. Half an hour later the cake will be ready. Let it cool slightly, cut and serve.

Onion pie on kefir

Ingredients: a glass of kefir, 3 glasses of flour, 20 g of sugar, yeast, 320 g of cheese, 240 g of mayonnaise, 2 eggs, 2 onions, 110 grams of margarine.

Cooking method:

Margarine melt and beat it with eggs and sugar. Then add the yeast, kefir and flour, diluted in slightly warm water. The dough should be kneaded and then cleaned for 12 hours in the refrigerator. After that, roll out to the thickness of about a centimeter, and put on a baking sheet in advance, oiled with margarine, sprinkled with breadcrumbs. Tighten the edges of the dough. On top, put the finely chopped onion into thin semicircles, grease with mayonnaise, sprinkle with shabby cheese. Place the next cake in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes.

Pie with leek

Ingredients: puff pastry (600 g), leek (700 g), pepper, butter (65 g), salt, smoked bacon (60 g), 2 eggs, milk (100 ml).

Cooking method:

Slice the onions into thin slices, put them in a frying pan and simmer in butter, topping up a little water until it is soft. Put the part of the dough in the mold. Put on it a layer of leeks and bacon. Salt and pepper. Close the cake with the remaining dough, having closed the edges. In the center, make a hole. For rudeness, grease the egg and put in the oven. The second egg whisk, salt and mix with milk. After half an hour get the cake, pour the mixture into the hole and remove again in the oven for 15 minutes. After that, the pie with onion will be ready.

Such a dish as a onion pie is a worthy decoration of the table, which even the most fastidious gourmets will appreciate.
